  • Interview with Dan Doty / Founder of Evryman, Engaged Fatherhood Leader
    HOSTED BY PAUL SULLIVAN
Before the pandemic, Dan Doty was one of the best known advocates for helping men live better, fuller and more fulfilled lives. He was a founder of EVRYMAN, which led group retreats but was ascending to a near-spiritual level of support for men. He was as comfortable talking to Joe Rogan as he was on The Today Show. But all wasn't what it seemed for Dan as a father and husband. While he was helping other men, he wasn't helping himself. A journey into the woods, literal at times, changed how he approached himself and his work. Now he's ready for a comeback. Listen to how he changed and you can too.

    WHAT IS A LEAD DAD?
He is a dad who is fully engaged in raising his children, supporting his spouse or partner and working to keep the house together. More often than not, he has a more flexible work schedule than his spouse or partner. He is comfortable in his own skin. It’s a great role to have. But that’s not always the same as being comfortable telling his friends the extent of what a Lead Dad does at home. And perhaps because of that, he finds himself isolated at times - from other dads and certainly from stay-at-home moms.
    ABOUT THE COMPANY OF DADS
The Company of Dads brings Lead Dads together. It’s a place to make friends, to learn, to share ideas and most of all, to enjoy a community of dads just like you - dads who are managing children, supporting their partner and keeping it all together. We’re going to have fun together, whether through sharing content, listening to each other’s stories or getting together around the country.

I don't usually comment on youtube videos, but this is important. I want to be a good example for my boys (twins, 1yo). For those of us not lucky enough to grow up with a father, Company of Dads is a gold mine. Thank you Paul, and everyone involved, for what you're doing.
