It is true that you can buy something like this. But if you make it? You get exactly what you need for exactly what you have.. :P Now there is no harm modifying a Bought one but I find when they are made out of plastic (usually). They are tough to modify. Great video and I love the fixturing u use to make it. :P
Thanks Doug! Loved the drill press connection, it has a nice sound and appearance. The folding ruler looked newer (or well cared for) but the angle finder, combination square and bar clamps look like they may have a story too?
Can’t believe you still use a 6’0” folding rule. I always slid back the 6” extension and signed my name and the date I purchased it. 1967 on last one. By the way you always come up with the best ideas and descriptions on how to construct, Karl.
Thanks for this tutorial I love it I have a straight one but now I have a new idea for an addition to my Hobby room. 🙂Thomas over at The Model Hobbyist
There is an affiliate link in the video description to help you find a turntable base and other materials for this project.

The folding rule was my Dad's, the other tools don't have a story, just tools. :)
I love the drill press! (and the carousel too!) I am going to use your band saw circle cutting technique when I build mine.
Thank you Doug now that you made a new one front of the camera you can send me the old one 😂
If you have to move the organizer a lot in your workbench, you could add some kind of handle to the center bolt.
That's a good idea!
Thank you Doug, I'm on it!
Exelent.
Awesome!!
