- SCarowinds for the 2023 Halloween season is finally here! Carowinds has graciously invited me to attend the media event and it is packed full of useful information. We got to try the seasonal food, watch the new shows, see the brand new parade, and FILM IN THE SCARE MAZES AND ZONES. I can’t tell you how excited I was when they told us that we were allowed to do that! The merch this year has also greatly stepped up its game. All in all, I had a great time at SCarowinds and I hope you enjoy the video!

@wesleyhoover That's the thing, I never really plan for it other than opening weekend and media events. I'm pretty packed on my schedule though so if I do, it'll be a while.

One of the floats is from Halloween Horror Nights Orlando from last year. They just painted the witches a different color in the rear…

I really liked paranormal inc when it was at Knott’s Scary Farm. It was there from 2015-2021

No soundtrack in the mazes? Damn. It's so quiet. Sounds like a rehearsal.
At Universal, their mazes are loud as hell lol. But I think it helps things feel more lively and intense.
It honestly may have been a sort of rehearsal. I'm going back soon and I'll try to report on that during normal hours.
Universal has professional soundstages and it sounds amazing! I still had a good time at SCarowinds though.

It's a media pass. You have to have some sort of media and apply for it somewhere on their website. Once you're approved, you're good to go! Thanks for watching!
What’s your thoughts on lamelo ball contract extension
It's a huuuuge risk that they almost have to take. It could pay off big time or be a disaster. Only time will tell.
So what i am confused about is it a different fee to ride the rollercoaster and also go to scarowinds or is it just like u can pay for scrowinds and u can ride some of the rollercoasters?
If you get into SCarowinds, you can ride the coasters for no extra charge.

@sabki- Yea, you can ride the rides at SCarowinds for no additional fee but the closer we get to Halloween, the bigger the lines will get. It would be hard to get all of the coasters and SCarowinds stuff done in one night but everything is available during SCarowinds! Hope you have a good time and thanks for watching!
Wait, they had a culinary demonstration but didn't allow the media to TRY the food??? I mean good on them for doing SOME sort of media event but they could have organized this a little better, but ya have to start somewhere. I'm going to have to check it out this year. (Edit... didn't wait long enough lol, all that stuff looks amazing!)

$300 bucks for two people with parking and fast passes? Does that sound right?
😬 Do you mean Fright Lane passes? At that price, I'd consider buying annual passes if you could attend SCarowinds multiple times. If you can come only once, that's your best bet if you can sling the money.
And I'd consider the gold annual passes only if a single purchase covers this year and next.
Just got back from SCarowinds not really impressed with the haunted houses most of them only had 3-4 monsters max there are more monsters in reaper alley then in the mazes but I will say depths of darkness and silver screen studios are the best mazes followed by the tooth fairy. The bottom of the list, no doubt is slaughterhouse and paranormal Inc. Would probably get a better freight. Going to one of the many haunted houses around North Carolina, and South Carolina. SCarowinds get your stuff together I know it’s opening weekend but needs improvement 100%
Tbh, I really like to go to SCarowinds for entire atmosphere. I like riding the rides, seeing the shows, and trying the food just as much as I like the houses. If you're only focusing on houses, you may want to think about doing a local haunt that mostly sticks to that. They're also fun!
Bruh, this year Scarowinds was so lame. Hardly any actors in the mazes. Scarowinds has really gone done hill these past few years. This year is the worst.
Hey 8 bit I’m doing something for my community over on Twitch where I’m live streaming me going through haunted houses in NC. Since you are an expert and I’ve been watching your videos I thought you’d be the one to ask, what would you recommend for the best haunt in NC? I want the best possible scares and for me to get the best experience captured on camera. Thank you in advance man 🤍
So they all have something amazing about them so it's hard for me to pick just one. SCarowinds has shows, parades, and coasters. Woods of Terror has amazing houses with tons of gore and horror icons. Lake Hickory Haunts has outstanding sets with lots of scares without going to gore route. The 13th Acre has fully rebuilt so I don't know what they have this year yet. I have videos of all of them if you want to see what they're like. Please make sure you get special permission to stream with whichever haunt you go with! Oh and also, have fun and good luck!
