Hello, it works wonderfully except for one thing that doesn't let me continue... the fk system follows the ik system normally. but if i now switch from ik to fk then the transform values are multiplied as you explained in the wiedeo. i then set the values to zero and apparently everything fits.
but as soon as i move the fk system, the pole vector of the ik system returns to its old position with the old transform values so that the elbow of the ik system no longer matches the elbow of the fk system... the pole vector returns to its old position every time... am i making a mistake?

Hello, I am student who is learning Rig, I saw your video, and it's really a game changer. But I have issues, when I tried to constrain the locator to the group match pad of any IK controller I don't know why but my controller start to change rotation, and it displays "Cycle on 'ctrl_poignet_IK_FK_G.parentMatrix[0]' may not evaluate as expected. (Use 'cycleCheck -e off' to disable this warning.)"
I thought the issues came from values of the initial group but it did not. So I tried on a regular T-pose character which my teacher gave to us, but same issues with the modelisation. Do you know why does this happen ?

Hellooo! thank you for the tutorial. I'm having trouble with my elbows, mine are setup with a pole vector too but when I move the FK elbow control the IK elbow rotates too and it gets misaligned with the FK arm, do you have any idea what might be causing this?

Hello! First I would thank you for this great tutorial, very clear and usefull!
But I have 2 issues with this, 1St everything work except when I move my elbow in FK mode, IK follow FK, on the Z axis, the IK elbow move and seems to translate like it is trying to find the shortest distance betwin the shoulder and the wrist. Idk why it does this if you can help me on that... :)
2nd I try to set a orient constraint in the Ik wrist joint so it would rotate when i switch for ik to fk/ IK follow FK, he rotate of the IK wrist all the fk snap on the ik previous location but the IK joint chain move away like if i didn't set up the Offset fix .
I creat multiply divide and condition node for the rotations of the IK wrist and you show in the last video but that creat this offset problem.
If you have any ideas of what could creat theses issues I would bless you ! :)
    Thanks anyway !

Hi there, thanks for the amazing tutorial! I was wondering, was the wrist FK control purposefully left out? when I move the Ik control, the fk moves with it as expected, but when I switch to fk mode, the hand rotates and orients itself along the wrist joint. Is this a matching issue or am I missing something with the initial fk/ik rig setup?

Tonya-Leigh Escalante hey thanks for the comment! In dealing with the wrist control, did you switch both attributes? There’s the original ikfk attribute that you have to move as well. The wrist/hand control is separate from the ikfk, as it should be. Let me know if that works.

@@dcpalley23 When Im in Matching: Ik follow Fk and in f model, when I rotate the fk wrist control then switch to ik mode, the wrist stays in the correct position and does not rotate. It works perfectly. When Im in Matching: Fk follow Ik and in ik mode, I rotate the ik wrist control then switch to fk mode, and the wrist automatically reorients itself along the elbow's x axis (x is my primary). This only happens on the Matching: Fk follow Ik. moving the ik control changes the wrist rotation automatically so even if I don't rotate the control, when I switch to Fk mode the wrist automatically reorients itself along the elbow. Im not sure if its a problem with the matching or the rig itself. But its only the wrist thats not matching properly, everything else works fine.

      Did you solve it?

@@chicken0w044 Oh gosh it was so long ago. If I remember correctly, It was just an issue with my hierarchy. I cant remember exactly what it was but I remember thinking "omg I spent so long trying to fix this and it was something so simple!". Are you having the same issue?

I watched your video clip very impressively..
If you don’t mind me asking, could you share this maya file with me?
It will be very helpful for the students who study Rigging.

Thanks for the comment! I can share the file with you, but there really is nothing special about the file. It’s just an arm rig with an IK/FK switch on it.
