Dear content creator : Do you have a strong opinion either way on the way Illinois chooses to run their offense through Domask in the post so often? You see, I am somewhat new to this his Illini team. I knew Shannon since tech. And starting last year I sort of started following his rise in the big ten. This year it wasn’t until he returned to play in January or so that I actually followed super closely every game. I haven’t missed one since big ten tourney. From that limited vantage point, it makes me laugh and think of how JJ Redick and other pros just torch the idiocy of the way college teams still run their offenses. Like it just seems like intentionally NOT maximizing their offense. BUT I know they have the best offense in college! I just think it appears that it could be even better, and it’s going to need to be to best UConn. I’m wondering if there is a dynamic related to Tennece missing all of those games and them still winning that relates to why they run it all through Domask all the time? And stash Shannon in the corner? Is it sort of a situation where the team is a little mad at him, so they let him have the ball when they HaVE to score, basically they use him for their own benefit, but then the rest of the time they run the Domask show? And idk I know that’s prolly wrong cuz they do seem to all love each other, but Shan Is so elite on ball I don’t get it. He can pass too! Domask is rwally talented! But it would make more sense to me to have Shannon run the point, and maybe sometimes feed Marcus adter Marcus seals or backs down his defender off the ball. It’s almost like Marcus’ offense is limited as well by the way they run things. I do like the idea of sometimes running sets out of the post, cuz it does utilize his ability to pass with his back to the basket, but it just seems like he isn’t that good of a scorer when he doesn’t have a great size mismatch, he’s slow, he is even sort of shaky with the ball sometimes when teams trap him late. Idk. He’s not a Pg ovivpislt so I don’t get why they run it that way. And I do again love his passing ability, but the way the back down set slows possesipns I just feel like they are shootint themselves in the foot sometimes. This isn’t an attack on Marcus, it’s on the coach for choosing to run things this way. Did it happen all season? Has it only been this way as the tourneys started? It’s just hilarious to me how Shannon can just get to the hoop or use his handle to create a wide open step back 3 whenever he wants, but it’s like they only let him do it once their boring offense drains the clock ?
This is what happens when you don't do any research. Promise next time a rape case comes up you do some research before screaming guilty. He was acquitted and they found proof that the girl was lying for money.
Found not guilty! Bless up.
