The NDX500 does work with serato and VDJ . The NDX 500 is smaller / more portable and is currently still made . The NDX 800 works with Traktor but is currently has discontinued support but does work with VDJ & Traktor still . So depending on your software .. it might sway you. I like and still use the NDX 500 and don’t have the NDX 800s anymore but they work well but were big controller’s compared to the 500s . I like portability My opinion . Thanks
Nice video, it is the closest I've come to finding out what I need. I have two NDX 500's and a Reloop RMX 90 that unlocks Serato DJ Pro. For some reason the NDX's just won't link properly to Serato. It shows them as connected, but doesn't display any info on the NDX and doesn't let me control the tracks on my MacBook. Any advice would be gratefully received. Cheers, J

Hi u said that the Ndx 500 will not play my 128gb usb stick with 3000 tracks on it.But if i put my stick in the laptop will the Ndx 500 play my tracks then?
Yes , if you use the usb stick with your laptop using Serato or VDJ software. You will have access to all your music. Then the Numark NDX500 will work as a controller. Thanks

Hello , it’s compatible used with VDJ and Traktor but says it could be midi mapped to Serato . Unfortunately I did not find any links for download so it would need manually mapped. I am no expert in mapping so there is other videos on RUclips to assist you with that … sorry I can’t help you more. Thanks .

Fat32! Need software to format. Not every HDD works. I use 2tb Seagate HDD.
