  • Purchased a COBB Compact BBQ oven from Go Outdoors with a few accessories.. cooked a small chicken but with the cheaper solid fuel which did not last the distance. Beware.. use either the proper COBB Cobblestones which give a 2 hour full burn or charcoal briqquettes

Love it. Typical bloke not bothering to read the instructions! :P
Seriously, I enjoyed this - nothing like having a go and learning along the way. I hope you managed to master it now it's a fabulous piece of kit :)
    Best, J.

hi yes thanks, I have mastered it now. I have used it many times while camping and have cooked loads of different meals on it .. it IS a fabulous piece of kit!
However, somehow I doubt I will be using it this year due to the virus stuff etc..

I like your confidence @@hayabusabart! I live in Amsterdam and use it on my small balcony but also find it so convenient to transport on the back of my bike to the park or my modest boat. It's perfect for use on the boat - so easy to move about and not a fire hazard.

@@ShiniestJ Hi ShiniestJ. Yes I also keep a boat on one of our UK canals. Its great for the boat and safe too as you quite rightly state

Next time dont put the veg in until last 15 - 20 minutes - they would have been seriously mushy so the cremation was a fitting end 😂 great video though

It is best to set up your Cobb BBQ to use a rotisserie, if you remove the dome lid the too many times you lose heat and the chicken will not cook.

What fuel was that you used? It looked like a proper cobblestone. I ask as the cobblestones last 2hrs and I do a lot of shorter cooks and if those are a lot cheaper I would get some to try.

  • @medetit

you are suppose to cover the vegetable in silver foil, as the heat in there is over 300 c
