    Scottish BAFTA-nominated composer Francis Macdonald drums with Teenage Fanclub and makes music for Film & TV. He has worked with a range of artists in different capacities including Camera Obscura, The Vaselines, Laura Cantrell, Julie Fowlis, Alex Chilton, Robert Forster, Dan Penn, Edwyn Collins, Max Richter, The Cairn String Quartet and Belle & Sebastian.

    Loved this conversation about such an interesting painting. The background information was vital really to appreciate the scene and the haunting music worked wonderfully.

    Loved that the flugelhorn horn music was inspired by the painting. Very good talk.

    that is lovely to listen to music that was inspired by the painting. also the painting is quite remarkable, how well it captures the energy of the young boy.

    Beautiful. Gray Sky painting. And it reminds me of the Dutch painters. So innocent a subject. The shoes say it all.
