You should give LFS a chance. It's a great multiplayer game, with many servers. Of all my hours on LFS, I have mostly been playing on Cruise and drifting servers. There is only racing tracks, but you can use obstacles to make the track look like a road, with intersections etc. The driving feeling is why I've been playing LFS so much. It's the greatest driving-feeling, in my opinion. Give it a try, I guess you will like it :) ...And, drifting is also very nice to do on this simulator.
There are both mission and free roaming. To unlock cars and areas, you have to do mission. On every mission, there are stars which you earn when doing the mission in ex. requirements. When all the stars on every mission is earned, you have unlocked everything. In the free roaming you can choose weather, time of day, car and area to start.
I played the first Test Drive Unlimited, and I liked it. :) But, the best driving game I have right now is NFS Shift 2, I love how the cars drive in that game. I just wish they had actual roads to drive on instead of racing tracks.

that's cause if you look at a golf the comparison between the height and the length are wrong it is to tall compared to its length therefore it is top heavy leading to lots of body roll making instability and the rear wheel to get really low traction causing the rear to slide out just cause it is front wheel drive does not mean it wont swing the back end out in corners taken to fast
First of all you need to set buttons for gear shifter. Then push the clutch (if this is also assigned as a pedal) change the gear. But make sure all the settings is set correctly.
Thx, I checked it out, but it seems to be "just" racing. I as hoping fora free roam game, just to cruise around in, like TDU2 fx. I think I might try my luck with rFactor and heavy mods, as there isn't a whole lot of car games out there with freeroam atm. NFS World was smaller than TDU fx.

Here in Estonia we have to. But when I drive I basically never do it, only when there might be a cop around. Its silly and stupid yes but its actually illegal not to do it here.
wish they used this game at the DMV, it would be ideal to get your drivers permit and drivers license insted of actually going out and drive a real car where you could get into an accident, there would be less deaths involved.

go to settings and change the steering response in controls, theres lots of options to tinker with
