This is a reformed man. He will be more productive in the society, talking to & teaching the youth to avoid the mistakes he made. Equally important, he could use his great knowledge of carpentry to help himself as well as being a productive member of society. What's the point of continuing to imprison him & prisoners like him & costing tax payers money. This is completely dumb & hurts not only Mr. Karanja & reformed prisoners like him, but the rest of the society. We all know the rich who steal billions don't go to prison. So, STOP making examples of the poor by giving them life sentences. Karanja is candid about AND takes full responsibly of the crimes he committed as a YOUNG man, by the way, AND not making any excuses for them, which proves he's a new man. He deserved being locked up but NOT for life! There's no reason or purpose for keeping him imprisoned. Release the man so that his poor mother can get to spend her remaining years with her son.
