Thank you so very much, excellent example of collaboration, free software, and open source together with one goal, bitcoin. The open-source stage of the event seems to be most interesting, and relevant to bitcoin, just my opinion.
SeedQR is BRILLIANT. I wish you'd also do Passphrase QR, perhaps using the same concept. 4 digits per word from the BIP39 wordlist, perhaps separating each 4 digits with a space to denote the fact that the words are separated by a space. Just thinking out loud here. I feel like most hardware wallets make using a passphrase cumbersome because it takes so much time to enter one. With SeedSigner, 2 QR codes would do the job quickly and efficiently (obviously, it's the user's job to secure those QR codes, but that's no different than how it's already the user's job to secure the first QR code and the passphrase).
Seedsigner is better than coldcard IMHO. I really like the UX. Would love to see a better camera though. But yeah, the QR code is cool. I also looked at Jade, but honestly, their UX was not awesome. I'm a software developer with 40 years experience. Peace.
@@endthefed5304one of the greatest characteristics of Seed Signer is that it is affordable for or of people! People can even buy each part monthly if they are on a budget! It is a project totally for the benefit, not oriented to make the creator rich (he deserves). It is FOSS, humble, brilliant and so exciting. It destroys the arrogance of many HWW company owners.
seed hammer looks cool, but how strong is the ink on the metal? Maybe one would want to encrypt their private key using aes 256 encryption and then seed hammer the encrypted QR code only, if this is the case, then how long would the ink last. I guess its current usecase works since it prints the words but it would be good to know how long the ink lasts?
No, but Jade can be used in a similar air-gapped QR mode. But if you buy a Jade, your email etc. might end up in some lists whereas if you source the parts of a Seedsigner from different places, nobody can guess that you own BTC or are using a hardware wallet.

I love this project and their team
A collaboration of great minds and embodiment of Bitcoin values to produce something beautiful. Thank you 🙏

i agree Jade's UX is not user friendly. need to dedicate lots of time and effort to understand it.
Does seedsigner use RFC deterministic wallets, for nonce attacks?
Is there a way to check if my newly created seed phrase is truly unique and has not been used by someone else before?
@@DanielNeubauer don’t bother Their is better chance I get struck by lightning 5 times today than someone having the same words as anyone else
very good you just need encrypted qr

It doesn’t have ink
If engraves
this is the same as blocktream Jade?

you can also build a jade exactly like a seedsigner for even cheaper@@teemupleb
What is the origin of the seed qr code?
I had the same question, anyone know how the seed phrase can be turned into a qr code and printed in a safe way?
The seed qr is generated on the seed signer. You print out an empty qr template and then manually transcribe box by box
