those of us with the ability to critically think in the USA are also in awe and angry. The right most religious part of the republican party has been planning this for 3 decades donald trump was the key though the conman they needed to get the votes of these ignorant people who had no previous interest in politics because they distrusted the men in suits (rightly so but their flaw well in dons instance a plus was they were also used to being indoctrinated every sunday and so were susceptible to conspiracy theories) so what those republicans did, starting with reagan, was continually vote in policies that would make it harder and harder for the regular working class person then blame all their hardships on, black and mexican people immigration, democrats, satan (80's early 90's was the satanic panic which first started and spawned the mainstream politicized scapegoating of nerd culture which eventually became today anti-intellectualism ) working women, lgbtq people, higher education, public education and eventually science itself. All don the con had to do was affirm every fear and ignorant belief they had because it's easier to blame the hardships of their life on jewish space lasers from satan than to really be self aware and face that their god would let this happen to them. So now you have a bunch of people who refuse to listen to reason or acknowledge facts because their hatred and ignorance is not only accepted but being fed by at this point the entire republican party who is so far right and in favor of an authoritarian theocracy i am not too sure even if harris wins that there won't be a coup come January. Ten years ago i would have never believed what i just wrote and called it a crazy conspiracy the regular american person had no clue this was coming and the best we can do is keep don outa the white house. There is a Bar in Eastern Idaho that has been open since the 1960s. They are the only one in the area that has lots of gay and bisexual customers and they do events like drag shows. Up until 2015 they had relatively few instances of violence... they kept to their own community and didn't try to push their values upon anyone else. Since 2015, they have been the victim of all sorts of hate crimes thanks to stories spread across media by bigots. I haven't been back to Idaho for a few years, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's closed.

Not every American is a Christian. Why don't they understand that? Be and do what your church wishes within your congregation, but those views and values don't apply to those folks that are not members of your church. You can't force people to believe as you do. We have two political parties, not one. "Love thy neighbor, as you do yourself" or did Jesus say, "Love only white Christian Republican males, especially Donald Trump." Show me in the Bible where Jesus says that exactly.
