Nate, frickin awesome! Thank you for another video celebrating the Christmas season. I still love that the two of you give honest opinions about food choices. Keep the great vlogs coming!
The Valkenburg cave was made when they started to dig up marl from the ground and they dug out a lot of marl and that's how the hallways where created in the mountain. Its amazing to see even when there isn't a Christmas market :D And there is hallway on hallway and yes you can get lost outside of the entrance part so yeah :D but tbh a lot of people go to Germany for the Christmas market. The dragon is a carving made by the miner there is a ton of those in the mines.
8:10 go to the underground quarries in Maastricht, and you find lots of carved stuff. Statues, a church etc. All done by the workers quarrying the stone.
BTW there are different gingerbread variants in Germany. The most popular is probably the variant from Nürnberg. And those little stars are called Zimtsterne (cinnamon stars). Since you are/were in Aachen you should try the typical Aachen area variant- The Aachener Printen
German, Swiss and Austrian christmas markets are the best. Great fun video and i have subscribed plus liked and now commented.. Hopes it helps with the algo-rythm...
Not about christmasmarkets, but Dutchfood. In this video about Dutchfood at 7.40 I see Nate and Katrina eating "rookworst". ruclips.net/video/pKKPTz9m-7I/видео.html
I'm not into Christmas markets, hot chocolate (cold chocolate though), mulled wine (I don't like wine of any kind) and Christmas in general (I don't have a Christmas tree either)
Christmas markets are not really a Dutch tradition, never been to one in my whole life. Valkenburg is almost Germany, that’s why they have one probably.
Even we Dutch think the German Christmas markets are a tier above ours.
Yep, always have been better.
They really know how to do it!

Nate mate, you are awesome. And I'm sure I speak for all of us when I say that we would absolutely love to see your giant German pretzel!
Awww… thank you so much. Everyone wants this pretzel…. 🥨 🤣
I live in the Düsseldorf area and all the dutch people come here for the Christmas Markets

Frickin awesome Nate!
Thank you so much!
Love your video again 🎄🎄 👍❤️
Happy holidays! Thanks!
The caves are so big you can literally walk all the way to Maastricht from Valkenburg underground, it's closed off but you theoratically could
frickin awesome....( as usual.....)
Much appreciated, always!
We love aachen and cologne but went to Bonn last weekend and this was really wonderfull!
How do you guys stay so slim when you eat all that food!!! 😅😅😅 Great vlog again. Thanks!
The vlog is a very small snapshot of our weekly food intake. We swear we eat healthier at home! 😂

Thanks for the tips!!
why is the CE logo on the side of all these cubs and glasses on the german xmas markets?
German Christmas markets are the bomb

Couldn’t agree more about those country’s markets - some of the best! And it all helps! We appreciate the support! 🫶🏻
Coming to Aachen from far you should have visited the CM "Merode" and "Monschau". Maybe even Cologne.
We were in Cologne last year:

Need to check the others out!
Great! We Dutch are good at many things, but absolutely not at organizing Christmas markets ;-)
The dutchies luuuuv The German markets! Just go and have fun don't analyse it all....socks it cold!!!!!! Always socks
The biggest, the smallest, the best. When it's the only one in a cave... it's all of the above 😂
Very true!
goed bezig nate:)
Many thanks! 🙏
In the caves there are no weather influences: no wind, no rain, a constant temperature of 8 degrees Celsius the year all over.
It was quite comfortable!
At 17:33 min.: 'Essen' in German means 'eating' in English!
🙂🙂

Germans do the OG christmas markets and they understand cash is king 👌🏻
I'm not into Christmas markets, hot chocolate (cold chocolate though), mulled wine (I don't like wine of any kind) and Christmas in general (I don't have a Christmas tree either)
Great Video, nice you visited Limburg, but I agree thet German Christmas markets are better
Thanks Peter!
I love Germans Christmas market, they are the best
💯!
They're not really caves. They're quarries.
No offense but the Dutch don’t know how to make a real great Sausage or Bratwurst. Germany 🇩🇪 can do
Not true, but I agree that the average sausage in Germany is better than the average Dutch one.
We like some from both places… (Polish might be our favorite!) 😆
But guess where the meat is coming from. 😊
Most likely it's Dutch meat.
Christmas markets are not really a Dutch tradition, never been to one in my whole life. Valkenburg is almost Germany, that’s why they have one probably.
We will keep trying!
🥰🥰🥰🥰 you are cute ove you both
O9hh, we Dutch are known as complaners, but we can learn from you.....
Doing our part to fit in… ;-)

No cash needed at christmas market in aachen!!!
We were asked for cash multiple times.🤷♂️
@ we only bought food and drinks. Probaly we where lucky;-)
😀
ahh, no food!
Not a lot for sure..
As a Dutchie there is no comparison between the German and the terrible Dutch variants. But again a nice video!
Thanks for watching!
German Christmas markets are just better, and i'm Dutch.
It’s… true….
@@nateandkatrinadotheworld Maybe put the Christmas market in Prague on a list for the future. loved that city.
With cash money you can avoid to pay tax. Partly. And i really mis Kimmy. Or Kimmie.
Avoiding the tax man!
We all miss Kimmie… ;-)
