Awake - Tsaawak Resort

Last year was hired to create a powerful story for @destinationindigenous and @tsawaakrvcampground . I recruited indigenous creator @wandering_claud and set out to produce a series of visuals telling the story of a woman reconnecting with her inner power. This was only 1 of 4 we created.

My vision was simple. No words, only visuals. I wanted to emmerse the audience in a strange, ethereal feeling I experience whenever I return to the misty coastlines of Tla-oh-qui-aht. (Tofino)

British Columbia for too long has ignored its indigenous roots. When I first moved to BC I was shocked at the blatant erasure of their histories and the 14,000 yrs of stewardship of this land. It was my dream to one day create a platform large enough to help elevate voices. I’ve been met with hostility, lack of interest, and straight up racism on this path, but it is slowly coming to life.

Much more is to come, and I have a lot to learn, but it’s been an honour creating such meaningful stories for such important organizations. 🙌🏔️🧡
