I have a 60 plate R in gunmetal grey with red/green flake, was my affordable dream car. Revo Intake, 200 cell sports cat, de-resonated rear section, Powerflex engine mounts inserts.. and ready for a remap, 118,000 miles but still going strong!
I love the fact that Seat Leon’s are underrated compared to VW and AUDI. Capable of pushing the same numbers, looks nicer (in my opinion) and normally cheaper. However there aren’t many of them on the market compared to the other hot hatches so picking one up can take quite some time (took me a while to find my MK2 FR facelift 2.0 TSI). That being said it’s always a nice treat seeing another one on the road when driving about.

I’ve just picked up my 61 reg with 73k miles on it, exact same colour and style as yours, part exchanged my s3 for it, might call me crazy, but there so rare and great cars with the capability
Don't forget the Cupra has the KO4 turbo, bigger than the GTI which has the KO3. More comparable to the Golf R than the GTI. Oh, by the way, my 2010 Cupra (which also has the same front as yours as they face lifted them in 2010) has done 133k miles now. Don't worry about the mileage, pile it on and look after it.
And I did think about the Mk5 turbos I thought they were different, but it’s good to hear that you can still get big miles out of these cars and they last!

@@AJCars. not sure, gonna have it dyno tested soon see what it's running and what it's had done to it, all i can tell is the full exhaust system has been changed and the cold air intake and a remap+coilovers I'd guess around 250bhp
Standard wheel mate and got a cover that you have to stitch yourself from PhatBitsUK but not sure if they’re still going now, other companies will do custom ones though you just need to search👍🏻

Mate they’ll go all the way to 300k with good care, I’ve seen a couple on them numbers they’re great

Not entirely sure, I would say that wouldn’t push as much power as a 2.0 but it would be okay yeah

I dunno how your fuel economy is so bad. Mines running 377bhp and I get 26 around my own when warmed up and on motorways 35ish.
