Steam tug 'SS Waratah'.

The 'SS Waratah' is an historic steam tug built by Sydney's Cockatoo Island in 1902. The vessel has a long history in both Sydney and Newcastle, working in the latter city from 1948 until retirement in 1968. Restored over a five year timeframe by a dedicated team of volunteers from the Sydney Heritage Fleet (see links below), the tug returned to steam in 1981 and since then, has made regular outings on Sydney Harbour.
