- The Saints and Heroes pack will bring nine new legendary warrior units to the battlefield -- the masters of their combat disciplines, standing head-and-shoulders above their rank-and-file brothers.
Some of the units include:
• Tadakatsu's Tetsubo Warriors -- batter the enemy into submission with war-clubs.
• The Spears of Shizugatake -- flank and strike with these spear-wielding cavalrymen.
• Hanzo's Shadows -- an elite ninja unit, unparalleled in the use of stealth and trained to scale castle walls at lightning speed.
All nine units will be available for both single player and multiplayer game modes.
The pack will be available to buy from Thursday, July 26th.
i'm glad that they're making more dlc for shogun 2.
In my opinion, one group there works on Shogun DLCs and another on RTW2, so there is nothing distracting anyone there...

Time spent on Shogun 2 is time that could've been spent on Rome 2.
True, but i think many people would rather live in Rome than in the medieval ages, just because of its glory and that's what makes is so sought after.
At least they put in some new skins. Look at the war clubs and the cav unit that's shown in the background of the channel. They did more for this unit pack than the Sengoku Jidai one. I share your worries about MP though.
He didn't say: quit playing games, he merely started out that you spelled quit as quite which has a totally different meaning.
this game is probably going to take your whole computer to play. It looks amazing though and by the looks of it I would give my whole computer for this one game to play.
They have said repeatedly that the Blood Pack was optional because it would have caused the game to be rated Mature, not everyone who plays TW wants to see blood gushing everywhere, as hard as that is to believe.
The Geisha I believe, particuraly during one of the assassination movies where she disrobes :D
yea I agree, though I dont mind as much if the game is complete and over the top to begin with then they add dollar unit expansions here and there
I played a guy who brought all these DLC's, let me start off by asking what the fuck were they thinking when releasing the this dlc. These units are SO OP they took out my partners army, then most of mine and the 3rd partner barley won with only his general alive to shoot off these elites. Tip: if you are going againest these elite units, their weakness is archers and matchlocks. do not engage them in melee unless you have no choice.

Guys stop telling them to focus on RTW2, this has probs been in the work for awhile and their only releasing it now, they have probs been working on RTW2 for awhile, this might have even been developed months ago!
idk why people are complaining about more dlc coming out. it's not like you HAVE to buy it. besides that, even if the new units are op, what's wrong with a little challenge? use your lazy sit at home heads and adapt to change. same thing applies to life too. just deal with it.

I still play Rome 1, and i still think it's the best total war game to date.

Dude, they would have made this aaaaages ago, probably before Rome II was announced.

rome 2 has to be perfect, cause everyone is going to compare it with the original rome, and that was the best game on the franchise.
I don't think its fair to really compare the two, cod maps are usually already made and have strategic releases, this seeing as how late it is in the game cycle is more like some developers who wanted to make a couple extra units for fun and ended up adding it in a pack.
Is it just me, or do all the later total war games have more elite units than normal units?

And it doesn't make you a better man for loving different things lol... Rome I was revolutionary, that's why many people prefer it to other TW games. Also if you had read the creator interviews, you would have know that he said that there is something very magical about the timeline of rome and that's why people adore it.
Do you guys know anything about video game development? Developers always leave some members back to work on DLC and such, while the main bulk work on the new game. When Shogun 2 is exhausted they will bring those they left working on shogun 2 up to rome 2.
I really hope they add Korea to the shogun map, (they might)

And i really want rome 2, and i really couldn't care less about a DLC so thats why i thinks it's my responsebility, there is a reason devs should listen to the community, and my comment is a very small part of that community.

You keep stating the units will wreck anything else, which is not true seeing as you can just as easily lose with them. IT'S SIMPLY EXTRA UNITS FOR THOSE WHO ARE WILLING TO PUT OUT 2 EUROS FOR A VARIATION OF UNITS.

3. Why should they sell these only for single-player? The only thing it gives it a variation of units, not completely overpowered ones.
I dont mean to compare but are creative assembly going down the COD route ... as in make a killing off DLC that should have been in the game already i don't mean this DL,, i mean like the blood DLC why wasn't that in in the beginning?

yeah, but it already stared with the first Rome (didnt really enjoy it that much to be honest) with two DLC's, then it just spiraled upwards. Empire had loads, and shogun 2 just went crazy.
I have been part of this game series for roughly 12 years, as i participated in the BETA of Shogun 1. I hate the new turn CA is taking. I am going to boycourt them, but I still feel screwed over, was the same with the Fall of the Samurai BETA. (which I totally wasnt part of). didnt even listen to us...
Wont be buying this, but it will be interesting to see people using the onna bushi in the multiplayer.

The series is always historical so myth total war would never happen. And Greek Total war is too iffy. If you think Shogun has factions that are too similar than you clearly don't know much about how the various poleis fought, because they all used the exact same tactics and unit structures.
they aint gonna run out of money! ar eyou serious?? these guys make bank and i doubt if any of the money the make off of this DLC will go towards Rome 2. I see Rome 2 going down the same path as Shogun 2 and it is going to fuck up on of my favorite games.

Yeah, if they are releasing Rome 2 in the same state as they released Shogun II, why the heck even bother? I have lost all faith in this francaise. To this day, the ooooold (from release) SHOGUN 2 MP scoreboard bugs have not been entirely fixed. Even when the MP was still buggy as hell, what do we get? Ohh, I see. An overpowered unitpack! And after a week, nerfed the units in the unitpack to mean jack shit. Congratu-fucking lations! Here is your medal of capitalistic bullshit! You earned it!
...they just took the ideas from modders and made them "official" and sold them, sad...

I hated shogun 2. I wish they would stop making DLC for it and put all of their attention on Rome 2. I know it's selfish of me to say this, but it's my opinion

well, it's a matter of opinion, but rome is the one with the most units and factions in all the franchise, in shogun all the factions have the same units (and all look alike), of course it has very good graphics, but the sieges are lame (only the castle, no town nor houses) and the diplomacy sucks.
Insulting?? i have played all of the total war games even shogun 1 and 2 i just didn't buy shogun 2 because i have little interest in Japanese culture and history, and im saying its bad it looks excellent its just not for me
So you basicly remixed the models of existing units and gave them op stats. Again. Something an intern could do in an afternoon.
