You can compare , debate, or argue, but you should really just be enjoying this. If you like guitar, then this is a treat. Every single one is amazing.
I came here to watch Ariel Posenn... but what a fantastic jam altogether. Everyone here has very unique ideas, tone etc. I really enjoy that these guys don't play the obvious blues notes and overplayed blues riffs.
The crop of really good guitarist at this moment in time is great. Among those not here...E. Gales,Kingfish, Markus King, Bonamassa and 5 more. Love it.
He is the identical image of my tenant! Every time I think why is he paying me so little when he has such a successful music career? LOL. I'd let him live there for free if he gave me free lessons....but then I realize it's not my tenant and get all sad. LOL
This is a bad thing ? .....I loved how Mark was like WTF and wipped out his phone when Andy was playing .....then as if he thought whatever he played after that would be ehh proceded to drop about the nastiest funk your gonna hear this side of the Meters , Parliament and James Brown.
The best of the BEST right here guy's 😌 There is hope for the future of guitar Was dissapointed w Phil Xs scat though lol should have just played guitar which I think he figured out after a couple bars Good stuff 👍 Gentlemen Anymore of this I would love to see 😊
That's one hell of a lineup. Some of the best at the top of their game right now. All you're missing is Trapp, Trucks, Marcus King, Landreth, Koch, and JD Simo, and this is my top list of players in the world right now. NO way to rank all of them.
I’ve always thought electric guitar was anything but an ensemble instrument. So many jams have been a mash up. That lack of separation always ruined the music. Seldom were even two guitars done right. Whose fault? Ego? Not understanding of arrangement? The mixer on this was every bit as important as the guitarists. He was definitely paying attention. That is what gives every player and the listener a chance to hear the music. Professional. The players weren’t competing. Speed wasn’t the overriding deal here. Melody. I read that some wanted others there as well. I don’t know....So much talent. Andy Timmons has been playing for everyone in the past. He was at on time Lee Ann Rimes band leader. Here you can see why. His understanding of arrangement is tremendous. All the players were tremendous.
Greyt ... one's the best all ✌ ... Phil I like more ... with long hair is more special... Peace, Sante, Luck's, Beautiful, Hapy Life from all evė ✌⚘💕🌎⚘💞😎
All great playing, Ariel didn't really shine but that could just be a mix thing, or maybe just an off night. I usually can't watch stuff like this till the end because it turns into a wank fest, but this was a treat. Purely in terms of tone, Timmons take the cake as far as I'm concerned.
Only just discovered him, watched a few vids....really don't get it....WTF Sounds like crap and his timing is awful. Maybe I'm finding all the wrong vids 😁
@@AdaptivePhenix he sycapatesa a lot of stuff. even on some of his more consistent parts he'll change up where int eh measure he puts them. on his solo for Angeline, he uses four or five riffs to cue the band when to build and drop etc, but he'll start them off from the one when he wants another feel. check out this video if you want an amazing example of his solos. ( on the song angeline, wiht those transition riffs being on the one more often than not) ruclips.net/video/sZHd6bcu4eI/видео.html
Mark has the chops and knowledge to go toe to toe with anyone up there, just such a nice guy figured what's the point? Ariel told a story, and then Wood went "Look at me!". So Mark went to the Funk to change it up. Same as AT just playing some funk rhythm stuff. Not everything has to be a cutting contest. Some folks are beyond that.

The great Travis Carlton on bass.
Josh Smith-“hold my beer!” Lol Damn!
He is the identical image of my tenant! Every time I think why is he paying me so little when he has such a successful music career? LOL. I'd let him live there for free if he gave me free lessons....but then I realize it's not my tenant and get all sad. LOL
Last dude managed to play his soul out despite the previous solo hahaha
JOSH KICKED ALL THERE ASSES!
Woooo ... what a line up.
To honest, although all guitar solos were absolutely amazing, the best of them all was Travis Carlton's bass solo!
I'm diggin Travis, big time.

Excellent tous
groovy rock until lettieri started to drop the stank on it bringing the actual funk. loved them all tho
Very nice funk.
This is a bad thing ? .....I loved how Mark was like WTF and wipped out his phone when Andy was playing .....then as if he thought whatever he played after that would be ehh proceded to drop about the nastiest funk your gonna hear this side of the Meters , Parliament and James Brown.

Marty killed it !!!
Excellent
Nice.
I think what's so crazy about this video is that all of these players have such different styles, but all incredible nonetheless.

Yeah, you're missing a few guys with that list.
Buckethead....

Holy fucking shit
YeahBuddy Long Live The Truth RocknRoll Forever
A Major and D major in 4/4 for 14 min. A tall order... A true boys club, but well done. Any women into this?
damn

Is that Gary Novak on the tubs?
Mannn how would you play that lick at 8:03
and Carlsons son Travis on the bass
Larry Carlton's son...
Molson, Carlson, Larson. He surely didnt save any food for poor skinny Larry.
Ariel Posen is def better than this example, his acoustic playing is sublime
Only just discovered him, watched a few vids....really don't get it....WTF

When that scatting started 🤦♂️
too bad you didn't have Steve lukather & Pete Thorn !
These guys did fine!
All of them will say that Andy Woods the crap out of them.
Posen does not belong on that stage, as it is for mere mortals.
i didnt like the goofball on the mic disrespecting josh when he started playing.
The 3rd one was....... Mmmmmmm.... Sigh.......
Andy is so cool. He prob thought everyone was gonna just play a little. Haha. Mark was pretty weak.
Mark has the chops and knowledge to go toe to toe with anyone up there, just such a nice guy figured what's the point? Ariel told a story, and then Wood went "Look at me!". Mark is obviously an awesome guitar player, but his style just doesn’t translate well in these type of situations
Phil is overrated
