It's awful that the elderly and disabled have to live in such poor conditions because of the Russian invasion. I hope the Russians are pushed out of Ukraine so peace and civil services can be restored to the people of Plavni.
These volunteers need to get these people to evacuate these areas. I get it it's hard for these older folks to leave their home. My family had to lie to my great grandmother and told her they were going on vacation to USA, as the Natzi were approaching their farm in Czecholvia

These older people were born when Ukraine was temporarily part of U.S.S.R. so they learned Russian. It doesn't mean they want to BE Russian. Ukraine was independent country longer then they were part of Russia/ U.S.S.R. They were independent for centuries before Russia even existed. They also were part of Poland, another slavic people who don't want to be Russian either, for a short time.
