Some other ideas for increasing supply include using the correct flange size and settings when pumping, staying hydrated and eating enough calories (500 extra per day), using a hospital grade pump if necessary.... What has worked for you?

    Hi Kassi !
I have a 3 month old baby and I get so frustrated at the fact that my milk decreases sometimes. I was exclusively breastfeeding up until she was 9 weeks then I decided to exclusively pump every 3 hrs during the day and chest feed her at night for 2 weeks to see how much she was taking at a feed. I started chest feeding 2 wks later during the day and only kept the morning and night pump so I had an oversupply , I was feeding one breast at a time but now today ( she’s 12wks btw) she is fussing at the breast and seems like she is impatient to wait for a let down. This is so frustrating and makes me want to exclusively pump again . It frustrates me how I have to pump Even if I’m exclusively breastfeeding her. How do I maintain a good supply? How many pumps should I add if I am exclusively breastfeeding. Thanks!

I am 7 weeks postpartum and had to supplement for that last two weeks because my babies weight was very behind. His weight is now catching up quickly. Do you think it is still possible to increase supply at 7 weeks postpartum? I would like to get back to EBF. I read that it’s very hard to increase after 6 weeks.

You can still increase your supply after weeks. You may need to do extra pumping to add in additional stimulation and tell your body you want more milk. You may find some of the tips in my relactation video helpful. You can increase your supply any time, even after stopping breastfeeding
