Hi Ishmohit, I would like to say I'm not particularly only a Value or a Momentum investor.
For me, some part of my corpus rides the tide of momentum, whereas wariness of losing money also makes me invest in sectors which aren't much in highlight altogether.
To have a concentration of one would mean fixation on one idea of investing, but I would mitigate that by diversifying into both investing styles(since I'm no pro at it).

Could you please guide us, on how much time i need to devote daily to invest directly in stocks?
I am an engineer by profession and currently investing through mutual funds.
The lesson which I learnt us that:
If PE is increasing consistently that should be backed by Earnings growth.
One more thing as a defence enthusiast which I would like too put forward is usually order book increases once an order is placed from Defence Ministry or Armed Forces but that doesn't mean they have to deliver that within an year usually the timeframe is 5-6 years.
Second thing there are a lot of big ticket deals in pipeline for the defence industry but are not being granted final approval due to very less Defence Capex spending which is showing no signs of hike from the government.
I feel Infrastructure is a good bet because the entire focus is on infrastructure capex from the government. 2030 will be the inflection point for the defence Capex.

2 for individual stocks weekly supertrend green or red
3 track stock value with respect to 50ema and 200 weekly moving average.
From now will try to follow 30ema also.

i didnt understood the slide starting valuation matters .... instead of high valuation infy rallied 100% after that it falls down to 80% .. means in high valuation scenario it hit the 100% , the one who let go the infy because its valuation was high might missed the 100% rally ..plz clear me

But of what use will an attack helicopter 🚁 be without armaments?
That is where BEL comes into pic from radar to rockets BEL does the job . This 150 LCH would add to the order book of BEL .

Good one, if you can take Auto sector as the next one on the same template.
Please do a detailed analysis on Paint sector along with different paint company's strong moat (like in different types of painting, which companies are market leader). If it is possible, try to cover Sirca Paints, Indigo Paints and their moat along with standard players.
Pls teach how to catch these sectors/opportunities before they run or start showing signs of outperformance.

Defence sector has given a tremendous returns. Govt has backed the sector with full gusto. Yes the valuations are very high. We need to assess the industry / sector which govt vl focus on thru July budget and try to catch it early.

I am a value investor. And defence stocks are in exuberance zone. That is if I had this stock , I would start selling slowly and steadily.

Every analyst give some information which is good. I think you need to first understand and have trust in the business you are putting your money. If you just want to ride the trend then it's a different matter but defence is a good sector for long term investment. Rest you can make money by hopping from one share to other share but not big money. Defence still remains a growing sector in India for coming years.

For a value investor the answer is clear, for a momentum investor- answer will be clear when top is done
He told everything but didn't tell when will so called growth of defence industry break down. And why will it break down. Will India become enemy free country in 2- 3 years? Will other devloped countries start to give india cheap weapons? Please give any tentative scenario at which defence industry become unviable. If we take current example of our dear neighbour 😅 which is completely bankrupt but didn't cut the defence budget rather they increased the defence budget. So unlike Chemical sector which becomes unviable right now due to Chinese dumping at cheap rate or IT sector which at degrowth due to irrelevant business model ( only given emphasis on service and not products) Indian defence sector look way more hopeful. Also if optimisticlly if export story work out in future it becomes more sustainable along with domestic needs.
As u hv asked will india become enemy free ? so defense stocks will work right . now i m asking so india did not hv enemy or attacks 2-3 yrs ago , then why all these stocks were not wkg working then ?
@@manoranjan4u. It is because previously our government policy was to import all major defence equipments. Indigenization was there but very low. India as a major country unfortunately dependent on foreign friends for defence equipments. After government change new government took a policy change for defence Indigenization in a big way and decided to become net importer to exporter. And now all Indian defence companies which were became very lethargic in past become very active due to large domestic orders. They are even trying for export.
You are right. India will be always vulnerable to enemies. Hence Atma Nirbhar in Defence is very much needed. We can't import costly defence equipments forever. BJP has adopted right path to become Atma Nirbhar in Defence. Indian Defence industry has bright future.

Just go through the budget and u will find ... We spend minimal or R&D.. no innovation can emerge without R&D. Without proper tie-ups and tech transfer, it is quite tough to scale up. Firstly, we lack advanced tech based curriculum and if some IITs prepare such talent, these top brains move out due to lack of opportunity.
Indias enemies are not from out side , it is from inside .The easiest way is to Capture power through collaboration with such entities .
They come and destroy everything over night . See our neighbor.
Since our education and awareness level is low there are a few section of people whose votes can be bought for peanuts .These two make an immense threat to Indian democracy .
Good leadership scarcity is a world wide phenomenon. That’s another danger looming all sectors including politics and industry.
Our threats are mainly them .
If a government change comes , the next day they will change the policy of sourcing Defence equipment.
Your money and my money will go down the drain .
Until that happens ride the tiger .

Personally, I think the defense marco theme is very strong in India and there is still comfort in holding companies such as HAL and BEL that have strong order books and good growth visibility. I wouldn't take a big position but I would surely have a small allocation to this.

Any change in indian Politics is a big risk for this sector. Different governments may have Different priorities and may not provide that kind of embassy support. I invested in avantel and ams initially but booked profit and exited.
