These POS buds can't pair together at all and it's driving me crazy! Lol got them as a gift but finna give them away or some shit cause it's annoying that only one pairs

If it has come out, follow the tutorial. When you remove both earbuds from case, you'll see that pairing is already heard on the left. It worked for me like that! PD: I think it's incredible that all this has to be done so that the left earbud is heard ... very bad skullcandy ...
You are entirely right! Both earbuds light has to turn red after pressing 4, times and THEN you can put them back in the case and take them out again so they can pair. Thanks for the note!!!
I FINALLY FIGURED IT OUT!!! Do all the steps he was saying in the vid/description except you need to touch it 4 times FAST. The light on the headset will go red from a disconnect, you may have to do it twice in order for it to register, take breaks between attempts!
@M.A.A. Initials In this video he tapped the earbuds 4 time slowly to reset, but in reality 1) unpaire INDY from your device 2) make sure your finger is not dry( put some water so you can feel the touch feelings) 3)Take each piece out individually from changing box and tap 4 times super quick. 4) put it back when you see constant red light. 5) take both pieces out( put it on table) 6) let pair automatically It could work Keep doing it until you get it done. Dont get tired keep calm and keep doing it.
Ugh! I've done this over nd over. Still can't get the left bud to work. Thought it was just me (I did much better setting up my parents 1st VCR... Yep that's me, slow coming into the "now"). Finally glanced at the comments to see it must be a common problem.
I have proble with my left buds but the only things i do diferent its.. you need to push 4 time the buds very fast... and then the buds operate... thaxs for this comment i resolve it 😎
Tried this so many times and it still doesn't work. What an absolute joke. It should never be this hard to get anything to operate. Taking it back right now. Nobody's got time for that!
The two important steps that are not mentioned: During the tapping part, you have to keep tapping until the right lights come on. If the red lights don't come on, it won't work. And when you have to take out the pods, you have to put them in your ears, not just set them on the table.
I still have to connect each bud separately. They will both say paired...but only 1 will work. I can make both work by going into media settings but I didn't initially have to do that extra step. Also, when I fix it through the media settings, the sound is not perfectly synced to both buds.
I literally came out here to say this. YESSSS Tap the center of the earbud 4x. This will automatically power off the earbud and reset it. You will know this was successful when the light on the earbud turns red. If the light does not turn red please repeat step 5 until the light turns red. Place the right earbud back in the case.
To my ears these 3rd Gen Air pods are more comfortable compared to the newer Pro version with the soft gel tips. ruclips.net/user/postUgkxgl8SzyQoymMu-S3V55Dskg5QJ8xr1yCR That said, compared to the 3rd Gen, I notice these do not stay planted in the ear as well. One design issue I think, is you squeeze the stem and click it twice to advance your songs. On 3rd gen you tap the large speaker. The difference is by grabbing the stem each time, you tend to loosen the bud fit in your ear. Not always, but the bud falls out a few times while running. The old tap to change never had that problem for me. I would not have changed that tap function. That said, the newer Pro version sticks in the ear, almost airtight if you want that. I do not like that Airtight fit. So that's why I'd stay with this version as the best trade off of comfort, use, and overall feel.
this is beyond annoying, like why cant anything just be simple, I'm not bad with tech, and I've been trying to figure this out for over an hour which is way too long for earbuds. It should be simple, I hear "pairing from both sides and only the right one works
This ain’t about troubleshooting or whatever I just came here to say these earbuds are shit lmao. I’ll just be vibin to music with these and all the sudden the music glitches out and goes “dun dun dun dun dun dun dun” a fuck ton of times then disconnects and powers off
@@chasec8974 same!!! At first they worked for months now it keeps disconnecting. No matter how many times I try to fix the problem it still disconnects. Its just a shifty product.
Thanks for making a product it with such a complicated pairing process! 🤬 its so fun when you have to do this 3/5 time you use them! Also in the middle of a workout.
$25 Fake Airpods can connect to different devices, but why cant a nearly $100 (when I originally bought it) not connect to more than one device? It's frustrating!
I think the reasoning is because for some reason they decided having a right earbud only option was important. So I think with a lot of people it accidentally goes into that mode
@@zoecoates4677 it should only go into that mode if only the right one is out, tbh I'd like it if both would play independently left or right as I can't have both in at my job. One thing that may help is to pull the left bud out first then the right so they pair before the right bud pairs by itself which is likely what's going on
OK, for everyone having trouble connecting the 2 earbuds to eachother, I've figured it out. easy simple fix 1. unpair all your devices 2. put earbuds in case 3. take left out, tap it 4 times FAST. may take a couple tries, take breaks in between. 4. put it back in, do the same with the right. 5. take both out and they should pair
You have to unpair with your phone … turn your phone Bluetooth off… hold for 6 secs to power off the buds then hold for 10 secs they will power on then power back off .. that’s how you reset them … put them in the case… take them back out.. they both with blink blue then they should pair ( which is a beep you hear).. this vid is trash you don’t have to tap really fast .. you just have to hold
@@WillowFaded or they're shit - spoke to customer service, they didnt help. Took them back to the store where I bought them, and when an employee insisted they work fine, I asked him and everyone in the store to prove it and pair these to their phones. None could. Tip, when tapping the earbuds make sure you tap them til you see the red light on each earbud come on before putting them back in the case. I personally did them both at the same time instead of one by one and it worked.
When I put my left earbud in it blinks red two times when I open the case both are red but when I take the left one out it doesnt flash blue and doesn’t respond the right one works normally :/ I don’t know what to do really since it doesnt work. Maybe let the charger be complete charge off so that the charger doesnt blink?
Yeah, screw this. Followed your steps, when that didn't work I looked around and tried what other folks were doing. When all that didn't work I realized how much work I was putting into fixing shit that was never a problem with my previous set of wireless earbuds. I thought these would be a nice upgrade after I lost the last pair, how wrong I was. Folks, don't bother with these, the mixed reviews speak for themselves. I didn't bother looking at the reviews this time around and paid the price. I'll edit this comment once I find a more universally well-received product that'll work better for us.
Try airpods. Good sound quality and easy connection. Biggest issue is how easy they are to lose. I personally haven’t LOST mine, I just got them stolen twice lol but then again, I’m sure skull candy earbuds are easy to lose too. I’d say bose headphones but they just dont really do it for me, bass too quiet
Great video, I wish it worked for me like so many others & thank you for explaing so well what these damn ear buds are even doing when you hold. I wish it worked for mine but idk wtf I did to these. You definitely helped me figure out a few things and one last option. Never pull one out of the case and pair it. Idk if anyone had that issue, but if you do... - Remove the paired device(s) from your phone. - Hold both headphones until you get both of them into the flashing mode. - Leave them on your desk for a minute and let them flash like dang police lights. - Go back to your phone and scan for the Indy Evo - Pair Indy Evo to your phone - Both headphones should play music. Hopefully this helps a few people, because it seems like there are many different pairing issues with these.
If the '4 times tapping' is not working for some of you guys, just keep the buds out of the case and let 'em discharge completely. Later, let 'em charge in the case and follow the steps from the video... Also, when you you put the buds on, long pressing on the right bud turns it on. Later it connects to your phone. If the left bud dsn't connect, long press the 'left bud' too. It will prompt 'power on'. It gets really frustrating when you are out for a jog and the left bud, suddenly, goes mute for no reason :(
This product drove my crazy! The time I spent on fixing but failed is way too much than the time I was using it! I sure will return and never buy from this brand!
I feel like for 70 dollars you should be able to listen to the left or the right solo I was pretty dissatisfied when I found out that I could only use the right one for solo mode
@@lorenzotrujillo4750 I just got mine from an Amazon sale for 40. They worked the first time I use them through an accident and working after I reset them cuz I couldn't get them off of a mode didn't like. But during that time I was able to do either side for single mode. An unofficial tutorial is what worked. Its super simple and only a minute long.
The only thing that helped me was finding this video only to find my resolution in the comments! Shout out to y'all! I finally got mine to work by following the instructions in the comments where he just gave instructions on how to reset the entire headphones
First off, for those of you that are here trying to fix this problem with your earbuds, the best advice I can give you is follow the advice from the comments, not the video, and prepare to have a LOT of patience, because it's a trial and error game. It's embarrassing and a shame that Skullcandy that is supposed to be a quality product brand didn't notice this type of malfunction in their Indy earbuds. I wasted many hours trying to fix this and if it wasn't for the comments section of this video, the Skullcandy video itself would have been totally useless. Thank you guys for helping me fix this, and thank you Skullcandy for putting out there a video of how not to create a video that is supposed to help your clients.
Thank goodness I'm not the only one its happened too. When i first bought them, I was very excited to try them out! I had Skullcandy earphones awhile back and these were my first wireless ones so as I'm pairing them worked perfectly fine! until I took one off and I put it back in my ear the left one no longer connected , I sweaaaar I had a hard time after during work lol I felt so stupid trying to fix it I asked someone else but they didn't know and then someone told me same thing happened then I find out only the right one works alone so I'm like what tha...
I had the same problem... I tried this method they recommended but... It made it worse. Before, i could just pair them together with my phone. Now my phone can't pair with them if it can even detect them
same thing happens to me everytime im using the earphones. After listening to music for aproximately one hour, they start disconnecting every 5 minutes.
I have to add that i forgot is that i stopped doing this method they recommended and waited the next day. After that they worked fine Though sometimes this disconnect thing happens but since then quite rarely and it solves itself with the next day or waiting
Quite possibly the most frustrating experience I have ever had with a pair of wireless headphones. It’s true what they say, you get what you pay for. I have spent hours multiple times trying to pair these two together. It’s honestly so frustrating and it has made me want to throw this product out many times. I would not recommend this to anyone
This worked for me, but only when I tapped with a faster cadence than what's being demonstrated in the video. Took a lot of tries, but after I sped up the tapping speed, it worked perfectly on both earbubs.
Here a steps to help you pairing both earbud together: *(befor starting let your device forget your earbud, mean unpaired from your device) 1, press on both earbud sensor for 4 seconds (only 4 seconds) and then remove your finger, it will turn off. 2, after first step, press again in both earbud sensor for 10 seconds this time and then remove your finger, it will reset your earbud. *( be aware of that: the second step can't be done unless your earbud is turned off, so the first step is important). 3, after reset your earbud, put both of them in the case (don't close the case keep it open), you will see the LED turned red while the earbud inside the case. 4, while the earbud LED is red remove both of them from the case and wear it quickly (so you can hear the tone). *(you suppose to her a tone which mean your earbud paired to each other). 5, after hearing the tone you will hear the left earbud say pairing, and now you can paired to your device. I hope these steps is clear, it take me 3 days to find out how it work, and also download the skullcandy application it will help you in that.
OMG YOU ARE THE FIRST COMMENT THAT ACTUALLY HELPED ME 😂 I was so fucking pissed off watched videos, read tons of posts online tried it a 100 times. Then I came across your comment this really helped! But it doesn’t take away the fact that SkullCandy has made a very poor design. Thanks again. Everyone reading this follow these exact steps!
So I've been trying for over an hour to get this left earbud to work on it's own, only to find out what they dont tell you is that mono play ONLY works for the master bud [right side]. So you may use both together, or just the right side which will cause more wear-N-tear on one side than the other. I find this feature very aggravating, I mostly use only one bud at a time whether during work or during projects in my free time. Even when outside on-the-go I only use one ear bud at a time, gotta keep one ear open since its hard to trust strangers. My conclusion is that they arent bad headphones but the utility is hindered by this one issue, I guess my only option is to continue sporting the enemy Airpods. Maybe I'll return these for a down payment on some new Airpods, or I'll gift these to someone.
I can get the left one to work just fine without the right one in my ear and vice versa. I can't get these pieces of shit to pair together so I can use both at the same time. It's always either one or the other.
Found this on Amazon comment section. Hope this help. Good luck. 1. Have your bluetooth devices Forget these earbuds. 2. Make sure the earbuds are charged (after you put them in the case, the red lights on both disappear when charged). 3. Take the earbuds out of the case. 4. Hold down on both simultaneously for 5+ seconds, let the earbuds turn off (led lights are red). 5. Then, hold down the twin earbuds for 8-10 SECONDS: UNTIL BOTH EARBUDS TURN AND STAY RED! Now they are set back to factory settings. 6. Please wait for 16-20 seconds, at which time the earbuds will pair again. Take out the left quickly then right ear bud. The R earbud will flash red/blue and the L will flash blue when they are paired.

@@ChronicAndIronic yeah I returned them at Costco this morning. I tried for a week to get them to work and they just wouldn't. Only the right one functioned properly, the left never turned on or charged.
Yay! I got it to work. This reset was super helpful. I think I was stuck in Mono mode for a while and it just stuck there. I learned also to take the left earbud out of the case before the right because the right earbud is the one that initiates pairing to the phone. Thanks for this post.
What a pain these things are! I've literally spent 6 hours trying to get these "Ear Duds" to work. I've tried them on two Android devices, one that supports Bluetooth 5.0, a new Ipad and two windows devices. and have experienced numerous identical and unique issues on each device. 1, Charging issues: - Indy earbuds were totally dead new out of the box. - After charging or 20mins after charging the case but they only powered for a couple of mins and then shut down on low power. - I then charged them for three hours, and the case went decreased to one dot of charge level but the earbuds only charged to 70%. - After getting them to pair they dropped from 70% to 60% charge after about 6mins of use. - I then charged them for an hour with the charge case recharged and connected to USB power but battery level in showed only 70% on an android and Windows device. - After a 4th attempt to charge them for three hours they finally charged to 100% but only play for about an hour and drop 10% about every 6mins. 2, Pairing Issues: - On first pairing attempt after removing from the case only the right bud would pair and it was hard to get both buds to power on at the same time. - After getting them to pair they don't but one or the other will randomly power off and when I take them out of the the case, the left, right or both will go into pairing mode and no matter what try neither will power off. - Replacing them in the case to power them both off and then removing them to power on often results in only one bud powering up. - When both buds power-up either from removing them from the case or powering them up manually out of the case they go into Pairing mode or won't automatically connect. 3, Connection Issues: - Often while listening one or both buds will power off or go into 'Pairing" mode. - Bluetooth Connections simply disconnect even even being inches away from the device. - Unable to get an Android, IOS or Windows device to use earbud mic audio that Phillips and Plantations headphones channel properly. I suspect some Issue with A2DP implementation. 4, Huge latency delays: - On Android, Windows and an IOS device audio latency is about 500 to 1000ms (1/2 to 1 second) delayed from video making watching dialogue impossible. - Delay exist in Bluetooth 4.0 and 5.0 modes - I have tried changing Bluetooth Codecs, Sample Rates, Bit Rates and AVRCP Modes from 1.4 to 1.6 with no improvement but some modes greatly increase noise and distortion. 5, Sound Quality - A Cheap $19 no-name BT earphones, a $5.99 pair of wired earphones and a cheap OEM wired Mic/Earphone set from a cheap, 6 year-old Samsung phone all sound vastly superior in all aspects. - On a Samsung Note volume levels are about 20% of what i can get on other BT Devices - Increasing volume to 100% on a Lenovo Android Tablet results in what sounds like preamp distortion in the earbuds or device - Thin Bass and harsh over driven sounding mids and highs. (Poor fit seems to be part of the reason, poor EQ and processing in the device as well) - Occasional static, noise and hiss even when not connected to any device. - Scintillation on and distorted highs, Cymbals and strings have a digitally distorted sound, often sounding like digital noise. - Heavy Bass distortion that sounds like the earbud driver circuits and being ovverdrven 6, Touch Control issues. - Touch controls seem random and sporatic. - Trying to adjust volume often stops, or skips playback or puts one bud into paring mode. 7, Fit and wearability issues. - Even with the large ear pads I can't get a proper seal because the buds are so large at the base the prevent them from inserting deep enough for tight seal - For the same reason above, they tend to fall out.
It worked, my left side didnt work before and had the plan to return it, after i sew your video and did the same thing what you did. then i heard the left side work. But you said that you have to tap four times to turn the buds off, No it doesnt Work like that you have to hold it down until it say turn off, but it still worked tho, so thank you
Hey bro, i definitely followed the instruction from the video but i found the problem in the video, instead of tapping it four times, you could hold it down until it Tells you that its turn off. It did Work for me. But if it still doesnt Work you can always go to the store, you bought it from and tell the problem☺️
Thank you so so much! It worked! I was trying to pair my earbuds with my Pixel watch and it wouldn't connect to my Pixel phone after pairing with the watch. I've been trying to reset it into pairing mode according to the manual but it wouldn't pair. This method works and it's a lot easier and faster compared to the method written in the manual! THANK YOU

Thanks. Hard to believe that these earbuds have so many connection issues. UHG. I think I made the wrong choice but thank YOU for making this video. Their site is not much help. I appreciate you.😀
Skullcandy has trash bluetooth technology. These constantly disconnect, and almost never work during calls. I can hear voice through them, but it's like the microphone doesn't turn on. Your Hesh 2 also suck. With bluetooth mode, the left side just doesn't turn on. Won't be buying skullcandy again.
Deben tocar 4 veces lo más rápido que puedan, luego la luz se pondrá roja por un segundo y ahí deben volver a colocarlo en el estuche. Si la luz no se pone roja, vuelvan a tocar 4 veces lo más rápido que puedan.
I’ll never purchase anything from skullcandy again and I’ve let everyone I know to steer clear of this poorly design POS. Then skullcandy tries to make it a “customer” problem, not their shitty design. Fuck you, skullcandy and your shit earbuds.
Thank you for posting this. out of nowhere my earbuds just wouldn't pair to one another. And your website really didn't do that much to help. This video actually did. Again thank you for making this video it fix the problem.
I finally got mine to pair, I had them installed, the bluetooth on, and what I was doing WRONG the entire time was not taking the earbuds out at the EXACT same time, so they kept pairing singly. So, try this folks.. ya put em in their case - close lid - wait a few seconds, open case, carefully pull BOTH out at the exact same time close to eachother - they pair when the blue light comes on, and I have not had a single issue since. Mind you, I had taken off the weird rubber handle things so that was my issue - I simply kept pairing them single cause it took me so long to get them out of the case. But with the handle on the earbuds you can do it easy.
Thanks alot bro, this actually worked for me, after almost 5 months of only being able to hear out of the right one only. They finally both work now. 👍
Thank you SO MUCH!!! Both my buds work now. I was starting to get a little worried because these are best pairs os wireless earbuds, and I got them last month.
make sure to tap 4x fast, make sure the red light appears before you put it in the case and make sure your phone isn't trying to connect with it while you're resetting them
Oh my goodness you're awesome. I was about to return these things. Mine are a little different I believe. Indy ANC fuel but I turned the Bluetooth off with ear buds off and shut it case. I took them out sat em down hit find devices... They FINALLY connected to phone as ear buds! 🎉 but the buds weren't paired so I turned Bluetooth off again without messing with "earbud" connection to the phone I turned the earbuds off as well, back in case...took them out laid them together touching they flashed together purple and blue. Then the left one was blinking red then I hit search Bluetooth on my phone now they're paired!!!🎉🎉 Thank you so much!!
It worked! 1. Unpair and turn off Bluetooth on your phone. 2. Open ear phone case. Take out the right one and make sure the white light is on. 3. Tap the ear phone 4 times FAST. Watch the light turn RED. IF IT DOESN'T TURN RED, KEEP TRYING. Once it does, put it in to the case. 4. Do the same for the left one. Put it into the case. Close the lid. 5. Open and take them out. Listen for them to pair. 6. Pair indy to your phone. Turn on Bluetooth. Should work. Did for me.
Always remove the left bud first out of case then the right bud in a relatively close manner maybe 30 seconds. YOU MUST PLACE LEFT BACK IN FIRST when putting back in and then the right... If you are just using one then remove the right only and place back in case. I have never had a problem. I saw this on another video ages ago and have been doing it. Because the right is somewhat independent it gets confused. So place that left one back in first then place your right one in. I take them out the same way left first and the right will saddle on and then place left in first then right when you are done. It really is not a well thought out system. I got these free from my boss or I would have returned these dumb things. I forgot how to turn them on and off and how to pair them thats why I popped in here but the same thing goes for pairing.
Ok so another tip is that you need to wait a little bit. You may need to tap it 4 times in a row a few times. You need to wait for the red light to turn on
I listened to all the instructions. Thank you for the video btw, really simple easy to follow. It’s not the video issue but maybe an issue with the headphones itself. It took me two hours yesterday to try and pair my headphones to my iPhone just to have it not work again lol! Same thing with my android the Bluetooth of phones just don’t detect it, it can but really hard. It shouldn’t be this hard to connect it, the quality of the headphones is good but if it’s this hard to get phones to detect it I wouldn’t have bought it. My laptop easily detects the headphones but not my phones. It’s annoying 😢

The two important steps that are not mentioned: During the tapping part, you have to keep tapping until the right lights come on. If the red lights don't come on, it won't work. And when you have to take out the pods, you have to put them in your ears, not just set them on the table.
Thanks for that tip mate.
You sir are a legend, thank you for the additional tip, tapping until they say power off worked while the video tips did not.
I still have to connect each bud separately. They will both say paired...but only 1 will work. I can make both work by going into media settings but I didn't initially have to do that extra step. Also, when I fix it through the media settings, the sound is not perfectly synced to both buds.
The red lights are litteraly not coming on tho.
I literally came out here to say this. YESSSS
Tap the center of the earbud 4x.

There are so many people having trouble with the left ear bud (like me) and I feel like this is more frustrating than it should be. 😕
How do you fix it, when I reset it it still wont work
Sameeeeeeew
You have to press it 4 times as fast as you can... I had the same trouble so now I wanna help others to not have that same trouble😀
One thing that may help is to pull the left bud out first then the right so they pair before the right bud pairs by itself which is likely what's going on
OK, for everyone having trouble connecting the 2 earbuds to eachother, I've figured it out. easy simple fix
1. unpair all your devices
2. put earbuds in case
3. take left out, tap it 4 times FAST. may take a couple tries, take breaks in between.
4. put it back in, do the same with the right.
5. take both out and they should pair
Well I did that, can I do with hammer now😅😅
You have to unpair with your phone … turn your phone Bluetooth off… hold for 6 secs to power off the buds then hold for 10 secs they will power on then power back off .. that’s how you reset them … put them in the case… take them back out.. they both with blink blue then they should pair ( which is a beep you hear).. this vid is trash you don’t have to tap really fast .. you just have to hold
Can we please get this comment pinned! more useful than the damn tutorial by that corporate sellout in the video

- Go back to your phone and scan for the Indy Evo
- Pair Indy Evo to your phone
- Both headphones should play music.

Why do my earbuds keep disconnecting from my phone every 5 minutes?
I had the same problem...
I tried this method they recommended but... It made it worse.
Before, i could just pair them together with my phone. Now my phone can't pair with them if it can even detect them
same thing happens to me everytime im using the earphones. After listening to music for aproximately one hour, they start disconnecting every 5 minutes.
I have to add that i forgot is that i stopped doing this method they recommended and waited the next day.
After that they worked fine
Though sometimes this disconnect thing happens but since then quite rarely and it solves itself with the next day or waiting
@@lindalackova7305 Me too. Did you find a fix?
Quite possibly the most frustrating experience I have ever had with a pair of wireless headphones. It’s true what they say, you get what you pay for.
I have spent hours multiple times trying to pair these two together. It’s honestly so frustrating and it has made me want to throw this product out many times. I would not recommend this to anyone
This worked for me, but only when I tapped with a faster cadence than what's being demonstrated in the video. Took a lot of tries, but after I sped up the tapping speed, it worked perfectly on both earbubs.
Thanks for the tip about speeding up the tapping 4 times. Once I did that it worked like a charm. Both earbuds now paired😃
Here a steps to help you pairing both earbud together:
*(befor starting let your device forget your earbud, mean unpaired from your device)
1, press on both earbud sensor for 4 seconds (only 4 seconds) and then remove your finger, it will turn off.
Thank you a lot mate!
Yessss thank you!
bro ur a genius
Thanks a lot!!
Only my left one works and I’ve tried literally every tactic to get this fixed, You guys owe me my money back
So I've been trying for over an hour to get this left earbud to work on it's own, only to find out what they dont tell you is that mono play ONLY works for the master bud [right side].

1, Charging issues:
- Indy earbuds were totally dead new out of the box.
2, Pairing Issues:
- On first pairing attempt after removing from the case only the right bud would pair and it was hard to get both buds to power on at the same time.
3, Connection Issues:
- Often while listening one or both buds will power off or go into 'Pairing" mode.
- Bluetooth Connections simply disconnect even even being inches away from the device.
- Unable to get an Android, IOS or Windows device to use earbud mic audio that Phillips and Plantations headphones channel properly. I suspect some Issue with A2DP implementation.
4, Huge latency delays:
- On Android, Windows and an IOS device audio latency is about 500 to 1000ms (1/2 to 1 second) delayed from video making watching dialogue impossible.
- Delay exist in Bluetooth 4.0 and 5.0 modes
- I have tried changing Bluetooth Codecs, Sample Rates, Bit Rates and AVRCP Modes from 1.4 to 1.6 with no improvement but some modes greatly increase noise and distortion.
5, Sound Quality
- A Cheap $19 no-name BT earphones, a $5.99 pair of wired earphones and a cheap OEM wired Mic/Earphone set from a cheap, 6 year-old Samsung phone all sound vastly superior in all aspects.
- On a Samsung Note volume levels are about 20% of what i can get on other BT Devices
- Increasing volume to 100% on a Lenovo Android Tablet results in what sounds like preamp distortion in the earbuds or device
- Thin Bass and harsh over driven sounding mids and highs. (Poor fit seems to be part of the reason, poor EQ and processing in the device as well)
- Occasional static, noise and hiss even when not connected to any device.
- Scintillation on and distorted highs, Cymbals and strings have a digitally distorted sound, often sounding like digital noise.
- Heavy Bass distortion that sounds like the earbud driver circuits and being ovverdrven
6, Touch Control issues.
- Touch controls seem random and sporatic.
- Trying to adjust volume often stops, or skips playback or puts one bud into paring mode.
7, Fit and wearability issues.
- Even with the large ear pads I can't get a proper seal because the buds are so large at the base the prevent them from inserting deep enough for tight seal
- For the same reason above, they tend to fall out.

My left one just straight up doesnt have a red light flashing
This is super helpful, thank you
Thank you so much. I was having a issue with my Indy shutting off by itself at anytime and I had to reset both. Thank you so much for the help.
I tap that friggin ear piece and it never shuts off or resents
i finally got it! let's f ing gooooo!!!!!!!!!
It worked!
Did for me.
Thank you so much! I thought they were broken!

Thank gosh bruh I paid 50 trying to get these fixed and you had the solution, I'm mad but glad my earbuds work again
Thank u so much I literally just bought these a couple of days ago and didn’t know what to do but this helped 💯
Bought them 10 days ago. Very frustrating. Never buying their crap again.
Do you still believe so or did it get better
Ok so this worked really well, i could not find out how to pair both of them together, and when i did this it worked Thanks Skullcandy.
I'm returning them anyway, excellent sound quality but the pairing is just sooooo bad
I've tapped them both 4 times neither reset. These headphones suck, they cut out all the time and have lots of bugs.
It’s 5 times

Thank you so much! That helped I had to do it twice with the earbuds in my ears but it worked. This has been happening for over a year now.
Saved me bro, really thought I was gonna have to take them back
I thought my left one was trashed after i forgot them in my pants and threw it in the washer, now i know they are waterproof
They are not waterproof you were just lucky, they are although sweat or small water drops proof, dont submerge them entirely.
I've had to do this about 5 times. Never buying another skullcandy product. Luckily these were a gift and I didn't waste my money on them
Ok so another tip is that you need to wait a little bit. You may need to tap it 4 times in a row a few times. You need to wait for the red light to turn on
A few times? God I tried a thousand times still doesnt work no matter how fast or slow I try, so frustrating!
It’s annoying 😢
bro can u help me am facing the same problem i have tried atleast 6 phones and non of the phones detected this earbud on our bluetooth the airbud is on but it doesnt show on any device been trying for 3 days and am sick of it
@@bkessmdr6700 I feel your frustration through my computer screen - never again skullcandy lol - never again!
Its good when it functions - but what's up with this insanity!
It helps if you turn off the left first before the right. It took me like 45 years to figure it out but thank god I got it to work again.
