I'm black man using my wife account . I only mentioned that so when you see the picture you want get confused. I grew up in a small town in WV, my aunt (RIP) loved country music . I would spend the week with her and she would heve us watching Hee- Haw . Listening to Reba, Straight , Alabama, Travis Tritt ,Garth Brooks I grew to appreciate country music . There was time a I was working security at a local country music , where locals bands were doing cover of famous songs and both Black people and white people were shocked that I knew a lot of the songs. I was like good music is good music regardless of the genre.... I like this group because their sound is reminiscent of the old country music I grew up listening to. I wish them the best.

My friend had this at her wedding a couple months ago. She and her beautiful new wife are from Louisiana and love country music, but it was hard for them finding a song that would work for them. They faced a lot of bigotry being a biracial gay couple in the South, that’s why they moved here to Connecticut. But of course they love their roots. Then they had this song as their wedding dance, and I was like, omg, who is singing this gorgeous song? So happy to see POC breaking down the doors to country music! And this song works for any minority or people that just don’t fit “normal” society. Normal is fake, it doesn’t exist. We just make it up as humans to fit our own ideas at the time. I never heard of this group until they auditioned on America's Got Talent 7/19/22. I was a HUGE fan of country back in the 70's when Johnny Cash was doing shows and also Kenny Rogers. When Chapel Hart got the "Golden Buzzer" on AGT, I have watched that almost 9 minute segment about 70 times since 7/19/22. I had noted on 1 of those segments on RUclips the following = To borrow a line from the Mary Tyler Moore intro show - - - "You're gonna make it after all".
I think this will be my new mantra. I am totally in love with Chapel Hart now. Such a powerful message and song. I feel so blessed that I saw your AGT video by chance and it led me to find you here. My friend had this at her wedding a couple months ago. She and her beautiful new wife are from Louisiana and love country music, but it was hard for them finding a song that would work for them. They faced a lot of bigotry being a biracial gay couple in the South, that’s why they moved here to Connecticut. But of course they love their roots. Then they had this song as their wedding dance, and I was like, omg, who is singing this gorgeous song? So happy to see POC breaking down the doors to country music! And this song works for any minority or people that just don’t fit “normal” society. Normal is fake, it doesn’t exist. We just make it up as humans to fit our own ideas at the time.
