Funny how people can speak so badly on a car. Every car brand I'm sure has its lemons. I'm a car enthusiast and I appreciate all cars. I'm on my second mini and I seriously love these cars more than any other car I've driven.
Um, no. The Austin Mini was British. The MINI is made and owned by BMW, which is...well...not British. It SHOULD be British, but it seems like the Brits can't do anything right anymore (no offense, just a damn shame).
Sucks your sister got screwed by a lemon! All three MINI's I've had are still going strong with the latest JCW Paceman being my favorite so far. No troubles, any of them
Sad to hear those BMW/Minis nowadays are that reliable. The WRC-Prodrive Version has been going strong so far. I'll ask prodrive to accidentally drop an XTRAC off their truck, for your sister of course.
I love and hate the idea of taking pictures so close to the action. Great shots can be had unlike being out in the stands, however, the risk of being taken out by what I'd like to photograph doesn't sit well with me personally.
Is his headlight supposed to be out like that? LOL, funny to think that this is the same POS that my sister just bought. Only I'll bet the Xtrac in this doesn't blow up within a few months like her 6-speed did. Maybe if she throws enough money at her car, it'll be cool someday too.
LOL, thanks, but it'd be wasted on her. She drives like a granny (one that doesn't live in Pasadena). Hopefully the problem is just that it was the first year of production; a lot of cars have problems until they find the weak links. Although I do read that Countymans (Countrymen?) are made more cheaply than normal MINI's, to offset the cost of the AWD, extra doors and more metal used in construction. They didn't cheapen the interiors much, so the trimming was in the driveline and suspension.
They weren't the fastest cars in WRC but sounded great!

The way it ripped through those switch-backs at 1:16 and 1:52 were unbelievable
why are these turns called 'switch backs'??
switching direction and going back the way you came @@paulinelambert7780
The driving skill required for this is insane...

Shame BMW messed up and pulled the plug to early. The car could of been amazing in WRC.
Yeah, if I was BMW's I would seriously start working on a comeback for 2019
Good thing Valeriy Gorban bought one

True, he stands quite a chance. Dani was ridiculously fast.
