This is gonna be a long one... I run 15 nukes in my Zurgo deck, along with 8 creatures excluding Zurgo. Deathbringer Regent - nuke the field if there are more than 5 creatures when he enters Breaker of Armies - to make sure Zurgo gets through Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger - Indestructible and he does other stuff too Hoarding Dragon - to tutor up an artifact (like, Worldslayer maybe...) Wight of Precinct 6 - So many nukes he can enter the field and smashface Marang River Skeleton - New Drudge Skeletons. Very helpful Tenacious Dead - Get him back after a Wrath for 1B Archetype of Aggression - Trample The idea is to get Zurgo going as fast as possible (Turn 3 is not as far fetched as one might think), and just start dropping nukes. I don't care about recursion, because I don't have many creatures and the creatures I do have are insurance just in case something goes wrong and I can't draw into any nukes Ideally, the game will go something like this: T-1 Plains, tap plains, Sol Ring T-2 Rakdos Cranarium bouncing plains T-3 Plains, tap out, Zurgo. T-4 any land, Swiftfoot Boots, equip to Zurgo. Pretty much turn 4, you've already won. It's only a matter of time.
interesting choice of cards. I do enjoy seeing another person that doesn't skimp on explanations. I don't even bother with videos that are less than like 13 mins lol
first things first, Auriella the warleader belongs in this deck. I can lso suggest Feldon of the Third Path due to the large quantity of etb removal (i.e Ashen Rider). Just a thought though
dunno why but i always thought about playing Intrepid hero turn 3 and then turn 4 throw out Elspeth, Knight-Errant. giving the opponent monster 3+3 and destroy it ;D perm board control
Is battlegrounds near a tire place or something? i think i have been there before anyways if you want do you want to meet there one day to play some edh?
+Blue Gaming the location isn't bad, just would like a larger parking lot On a prerelease or tournie weekend when the crossfit place is pumping good luck finding a apot
TapNTurnGaming It was a ridiculously long video for what it is. I appreciate some of the explanations but just overkill and reexplaining the same thing multiple times.

Chandras ignition is a great boardwipe since he is dealing damage and most of the creatures will die he will get the counters.

Past in flames could be a really usefull card for this deck. You have a lot of powerful removal, but it basically doubles if you have past in flames.
trailblazer boot gives nonbasic land walk also assault suit in a 3-5 player game is really good and fun
Very good call outs
Solid suggestions jordan, I appreciate the feedback!
Desolation Giant is really nice with Zurgo as well
Yep
i love O-naginata.. so underrated ;D
I'm late to this but I like to give Zurgo a Grafted Exoskeleton.
you're a bad person, and we appreciate that
If I wanted to buy these cards, how much would I have to pay for the deck (except for the lands)

It is next to a crossfit place and "near" a tire place I believe
Oh yeah i've been there before, nice place. bad location lol

+Aspen : Magic the Gathering do you mean for modern format
Or an updated version
Update this deck for 11.01.2016 ?)
+Aspen : Magic the Gathering no I don't believe he has changed it
Pretty legit deck. Painful video.
Who do you say painful video, give a little feedback so we can improve

Ok ok fair points
Sometimes we get so excited we can’t help it
But we try
blasphemous would die because it'd turn him into a 0/0...
+Branden Plays Games ok
13 damage, not -13/-13, so no it would not kill him on your own turn.
+kdchmln very true
