One of most awesome days ever and also the saddest for me. I was at that game, under the rain and almost got pneumonia but I was there to support my team. Sadly, we didn't win but what a day.
What a great first MLS Cup finals. The middle of the pitch is an absolute swamp from goalbox to goalbox, the players get covered in mud, the brutal conditions raise the stakes, and the quality of play was pretty good despite the conditions. Entertaining game!
Man, from 1996 to 2021, MLS clubs have come and gone, from the Tampa Bay Mutiny to Inter Miami CF and Austin FC. The number of teams since the inaugural season 25 years ago has jumped from 10 teams to 30. Tampa Bay Mutiny no longer exists, Miami Fusion folded, Chivas USA ceased after 2014 and was replaced with Los Angeles FC in 2018. Beginning in like 2009, MLS started an expansion program, dramatically increasing the number of teams.
@@ryanfebrianto8973 Oh dear, how dare an American league in its first year of operation use a traditional American-style clock... what will you ever do???
It really doesn’t matter if the clock runs up or down, as long as there is no noise like a horn or buzzer when the clock runs out, fans will know the ref keeps the official time, including time added on, with his own watch. This was a competitive high level match, well worthy of a final, played in almost unplayable field conditions. It’s like the CONcACAf Allstars, great players on the field.
DC United a once proud franchise. So sad to see the team they have become... Great fan base and great tradition but MLS won't push for them to be one of the best teams in MLS because they want the LA teams and NY to be to forefront....

Pretty good, but not as good as Jimmy conrad's goal vs Mexico
as a mexican, i said no
Marco Etcheverry was the best and most consistent set piece taker I've ever seen.
Mls needs to be this AMERICAN again
Thank you. I’d actually watch it if it was like it was in the 90s. Now it’s yuppies larping as Europeans

Now Inter Messi. They can spend however much they want
I think the yards markings will help you for offside calls
