Hi Lin Coleman, perhaps, there is a risk that if temperatures get excessively high above 30C, then it could affect the quality of the substrate. So whereas it won't be a risk in the UK, it could be a potential issue in hotter climates, but should hopefully be rare!
In Italy this thing destroyed the market. brown oyster is paid less than 3€/kg. In autumn below 2. you have to buy a shitton of bags to break even, if nothing bad happens in the process.

Luckily, most mushrooms seem to be commanding a much higher price still in some of our indie food suppliers and at farmers markets, so fortunately it's still proving to be a good revenue source here for mushroom producers! Good luck with your growing!
