I mean Wuhu Island has an exploration mode to visit the whole island if one is interested, but it isnt like "go to the bowling alley and start up a game of bowling" configurated, thus gameplay form the minigames and the wuhu island tour are seperated and thus is immersion breaking :/

I'm really happy that you played Go Vacation! I love the nostalgic graphics and all the extra detail the game has that makes it so special. Tbh, I wasn't sure if it was going to get any attention but I was surprised and very happy to see that you reviewed it. I think that simple mini-games like that are perfect for friends since the controls are easy to pick up. The Coin Game is one of my all time faves. It really speaks to how awesome that game is that you spoke so highly of it before the third arcade was even added! Also I had no idea Go Vacation existed. As a We Ski fan I'm gonna buy it immediately.
It's cool to see Go Vacation on this list. It's one of my favorite games to play with my siblings, even though we spend a majority of the time ramming into each other with cars and sending the AI fourth person down the mountain on a snow tube instead of playing the minigames. I'd say it's less of a minigame compilation with an open world and more of an open world with minigames.

Go Vacation is one of my favorite games because of just how much content it has. Every time I found a detailed secret area or realized that, for example, the area in the city resort you can hang glide around is even bigger than the area you can walk/skate around, or that the roads over the water I thought were just detail were actually used in the driving minigames, I appreciated the game even more. I actually found the game because I really like the island flyover minigame in Wii Sports Resort and wanted to see if someone had made a way to walk around the island instead of flying around it, so I looked it up and came across an article saying that Go Vacation is basically that.
HOLY FRICK, PGB TALKED ABOUT GO VACATION. I remember this game WELL as a kid, it was one of the games me and my sister would play consistently and we'd have some pretty good times with it. I think there was just a certain energy we liked about it that made us wanna come back to it, even as we got older. Wasn't actually aware there was a switch port now.
