I’m starting to appreciate binder collections. Before I wanted to collect PSA graded cards but there’s something special about displaying it in a binder. Thanks for the upload!
I understand not valuing PSA, my collection is all in extremely good condition and kept safely in a binder, I prefer it in a binder. The binder is hardcover and zippered shut and I keep it in a safe so even the expensive cards are safe.
This is absolutely outstanding. I prefer RAW versus graded. First time channel viewer here, and your binder really pumped me up. Been working on a small Duelist Portfolio, trying to get it to $15k. People like you, Ruxin, Solemn pushed me to get back into collecting after selling all but like 20 cards in 2013. So thank you.

I'm personally working on an assortment of 1st ed common, and rare monsters from older core sets in chronological order. As well as ocg imports of DM era monsters like Zombie Warrior, Mystical Sand, etc. I just love the older style of artworks that didn't seem so anime style like the cards printed today.
You're right. The Summoned Skull sample is rarely seen. I checked on psa and they have a pop count of 14. Who knows how many went out? And to only have just 14 graded. Could become one of the more valuable cards down the line

I'm not entirely versed in them, and it's interesting to know that the card stock used is similar to OCG production according to your description of the texture?
Yes they came out in December 2001 in promo kits introducing the TCG to toy stores, game shops and other vendors. The sample card was part of it. Some vendors sold their sample cards on eBay after yugioh came out and it caught on with the public. I happened to come across one such auction and bought it.
I guess this collection was everyone's dream as a kid back in the day. Thanks! Your videos partly brought me back into collecting old sets too. I appreciate your calm voice and the background stories about the old sets - unlike most other youtubers that go "crazy" and have clickbait thumbnails everywhere. Keep it that way! :)
You could put the first 12 Tin promos from 2002/03 on the empty page and move the Dark Magician and Blue-Eyes to the last Blue-Eyes page at the bottom or put in the first 8-9 JUMP Promos
This is the perfect video to come out right now. I actually just bought a very lightly played try horned dragon from the legend of blue eyes for $145.55 from a local card shop. I’m also working on completing ancient sanctuary. Your binder collection or my dream collection. I’m not necessarily in to PSA personally. I understand the value. This was the perfect video
@vawies yea I don’t really care for unlimited psa or not. Unlimited is worth much much less than 1st, especially for lob. That’s typically how much Tryhorne dragon sells on eBay in Asian EnglishOr in north American English in much worse condition. Occasionally I find a 40 or $50 first edition near mint Yu-Gi-Oh card from the original sets for four or five dollars. I can count on one hand the good deals that I’ve gotten... 2002 unlimited legend of blue eyes is a lot more valuable then the newer reference for sure. Blue eyes from legend of blue eyes is a couple hundred dollars raw I think.

I should say it’s probably lightly played buy my standard and PS a standard it would probably only gotten hey six or seven I’m not really sure. But I think it looks really good. I just spent 135 before tax and shipping for Exodia necross DCR 1st. I need a few more cheaper cards to complete that set. Sadly I’ll never complete very many more. I have PGD, IOC and LOD fully complete and am starting by on AST.
The nostalgia is strong with this one. These were simpler times when the game wasn't so fast paced like it is today. If you plan to add more cards to your binder you can add the promos from Forbidden Memories, Duelist of Roses and so on. Plus, a collection of every Red-Eyes Black Dragon card. Keep the awesome work man, your collection is nuts.
I feel the same way about Labyrinth Of Nightmare, when I was a kid when I used to go to my moms house there was a card shop near her and something always made me go towards getting LON packs. Just recently I started back collecting YuGiOh again after finding my old binders. My first booster box should be in tomorrow or the next day. LON 36 pack box :P my first booster box ever. Even bought a really nice custom acrylic case for it! Nice binders for sure.
The page with two dark magician and one blue eyes should be continued with ultra first ed from the first starter deck!! What an amazing idea you had for this binder.. Awesome!! 11 page with 12 ultra and secret from the very first yugi Era.. Those time were amazing, crazy nostalgia here!!

Dude I literally say the same thing about legacy of darkness in piranha guardian. Not only do I think the artwork is objectively the best, it’s also my favorite and I think the colors look really good together. I actually completed those two sets as well as invasion of chaos and almost dark crisis. I need a couple commons and a10 dollar ultra as well as the cards that I ordered that haven’t came in the mail
Bro! I think it would be really dope if you did like after the og sets you did like sections of all the of of starter deck ultras, game promos, Tin promos, and jump promos. I think that would really complete that binder and he’ll maybe even throw some dark beginning and dark revelation in there since they were the og reprint sets, I know it’s not first Ed but still pretty sick, and maybe like throw the blue eyes complete set into like an og kiba four card binder that would be pretty sick. That’s just my opinion though either way insane collection bro for real!!!

I'll mirror your thoughts on LOD and PGD, they definitely had the best artwork and themes along with LON and MFC, and I like AST for the same reason. The Egyptian themes were in large part the reason why I got into Yugioh way back in the day. what do you think about the trend of big youtubers opening old yugioh product and causing price spikes? loose (obviously weighed) LOB packs used to go for 5-8 USD on ebay and they're around 25 USD now
I’m not necessarily a fan but you can’t really tell people how to spend their money or what to do with their property. And at least when they open expensive stuff, we get to see what’s inside!
@@TheOldSchoolExpert yeah. My collection is nowhere near yours, but I was able to pick up a lot at mid prices. Like ultra jar for $600, ghost first stardust for $200, and so on. I could not imagine just starting collecting again today.

I want these OG cards so bad but the packs are stupidly overpriced. I have a tonne of these but they're beat up from being used over the years. I've resorted to buying the Korean Lob box just for nostalgia 😂. Recently got white dragon abyss (was really good for pack value bought the box for €180) Rise of the duelist and toon chaos were terrible. I got so many foil cards that were dupes and I just didn't understand the newer side of yugioh

Graded cards are definitely cool and a great way to protect/invest cards, but nothing beats the nostalgic feel of a binder 😊

Put dds promos at the top of last page, gbi in the middle, fmr on the bottom, and alpha beta gamma in the extra 3 vertical slots
