This is the introduction of some of the recent Presidents, followed by current President Donald Trump's full speech in the newly reopened Hall of Presidents at the Magic Kingdom. The attraction in Liberty Square officially reopened today. George Washington introduces him and we see all of the other Presidents including Presidents Obama and Lincoln.

@@ArthurMorgan-pq4tr When you enter the curtains are closed, then when everyone is seated the announcer says to respect the atmosphere ( I think) can't really remember what they say except to not talk on cell phones ,make noise or be disrepectful. It is a great thing to watch especially if you are patriotic. I have been in there many times and it does seem like the actual people are on the stage. They messed up Trump's face some, another person said it looked like a cross between him and Hillary and they are right. The bottom part of his face is wrong.
I suppose when Disney gets around to installing Biden, they will have his back turned to the audience.

@DAFuq!Boom? If you have never seen it you should, when Obama was elected they were working on him when I was there in 2009. I went again in 2010, I don't really remember much about what he said. I have been in that attraction everytime I went. IT is something to see.

The face definitely needs some work but the movement is amazing. They even get Trump's mannerisms and hand gestures down perfectly. Disney no doubt has some of the best robotics teams on the planet

It says something that even mastercraft animatronic engineers working at the top of their class can't help but make a Trump animatronic that looks, at bare minimum (and admittedly true to life.), kinda schlubby-looking.
The animatronic speaks more coherently than the real thing.

How can they get the hand and body movements so lifelike and yet the mouths still just flap up and down like an anime character?
It has to do with the amount of surface area needed to create those lip movements. To do so requires a lot of actuators and each actuator takes up surface area, which the face doesn't tend to provide a lot of. As technology advances, smaller and more powerful actuators become available, so we'll get there eventually. I believe there's a behind the scenes video detailing Disney's newest animatronics. The _newest_ Abe Lincoln is actually really good at facial expressions (and to some degree lip movement). But it's also expensive as hell and will be awhile before Disney can mass produce them.
I absolutely love this show when I visit Florida.
