Not to crush his dreams or anything to be at the top means that he should be training with the best. the premier league has a youth development program If he really is good enough he could join that or he should sign a deal in USL or MLS as those rank 31. and 16. and are the only US leagues taken seriously. That's so true. I grew up with kids who had raw talent and the intangibles to be great players, however they had no one to guide them, take them to games, their parents couldn't afford to put them on teams or academies. They had no one who really believed in them, and as a kid you really need someone to give you confidence. So all that natural talent withered away.

Regarding the boy’s aspirations to play in the EPL, how difficult now is it for non-EU athletes to play in the UK? One of the reasons there are so few Americans in the EPL is because work permit rules are strict, meaning that a player has to be either an established international or already be competing in another top league.
Regardless, good luck to him. He looks a bit slow, but they said the same thing about Harry Kane at that age. He certainly has the desire and work ethic, which is at least as important as talent.

If I had this kids resources and a good mentally I would’ve been probably pro by now or playing academy. Where I come from mostly everyone here is Hispanic so we don’t got the same support and wealth to help us. I respect the kid but my cousin who barely plays football is as good as him. I like to think that I’m better at this kid at the same age except that I don’t play for a high level division and I don’t have the equipment or the coach. What I do have is a ball, some cones, a pair of cleats and a wall. I’m also stronger and more coordinated

The key to turn an amateur under 18 player into an actual professional player is to force him to adapt to a first division, look at gavi for example, the sad reality is that not many get the chance to play in a first division at such a young age and they never develop their talent properly

American soccer is so fascinating. While the rest of the world has kids from all backgrounds and walks of life trying to make it, in the US only relatively affluent kids have the means for access to state of the art facilities to try and achieve their goals.

Some will have parents that are doctors and architects, and others will have parents that are carpenters or unemployed. No difference. Some will be muslim, some catholic, and some will not have any religion. Black, white, arab, asian, it doesn't matter. Real brotherhood.

This is Peyton’s Dad and I’m tired of reading all these negative rich kid comments.
I was a poor kid. My Dad died before I knew him when I was six. He was an alcoholic. My Mom god bless her raised 3 kids most of her income came from a social security check. Sound familiar to anyone ? She was a full time telemarketer I think her hourly wage one time I remember hearing was like $5 an hour. Our house was purchased for $28,000- and with all that I wanted to do something with my life -and went on to college. Like anyone else I’ve had many failures along the way but I kept pushing and fortunately figured it out.
So stop it with all the excuses! If you want to do something with your life go do it. I know a lot of rich kids who sit on their asses and do nothing -but don’t be critical of the ones who are doing the most with what they have. I have never seen anyone fail in life (no matter the head start they had) if they really wanted to do something great. No one!
    Good luck!

He needs to get those opportunities to perform in the big leagues within the next 3 years or else he won't have the chance to make it big. He definitely needs some sort of play in the MLS at first and slowly make his way to more prestigious leagues as he shows off his skills and his ability to play the game. I want to see him succeed in the world of football. He needs to take those risks and aim for the best opportunities! I'm with you along the way Peyton 😁
