Im not an apple expert, but if you want to completly install windows on your mac, older versions don't support bootable usb from bootcamp (however I tried bootable usb with mac 10.11 ISO and it worked completly fine), try installing an ISO image in your mac, and then buying a dvd, then you mount the ISO into the dvd, then you go to apple > sysytem preferences > startup disk > and select your dvd, then you put your password and restart your pc. I think there is a video from "Tech for PC and mac" explaining it
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I was stupid enough to run Win 7 on my moms High Sierra and saw the error screen, took a few tries but I was able to run the OS with all the data and no issues!
I managed to fix it, had to go into disk utility and reformat the hard drive and repair them, restarted and it booted into the Monterey installer@@Neo3111983
I bought a used imac off ebay and when I turned it on there was an image og a world globe (all in grey and white). What does that mean. I can't get going with this think and don't know where to start.
maybe, if you are worried about losing your files, i would consider removing the drive, connecting it to another computer as an external drive, backing up, then trying the boot option. it is alot of work
