The truth is there are IQ folks all over the show that don't know their abilities and fail to develope. And there are folks like you and me that with striving for excellence and with hard work (and few psychological hang ups ) can achieve a great deal of smarts. Forget about your IQ.

      That is a good question. Depends on what type of intelligence? A technical intelligence which usually the IQ tests measure can be improved to some degree by being passionate and engaging technical and mathematical issues etc. But the creative intelligence comes from being in touch with oneself, so to speak, and cannot be quantified.
      Ultimately, while a high IQ may be important for some professions, what really matters is what ones does with one's IQ. It doesn't mean if someone has a high IQ that he will contribute anything significant to the world, nor that he is a better or extraordinary human. Our personality consists of many aspects like will, passion, vision, drive, wisdom, etc.
      What is that an IQ test actually measures? Does it measure consciousness itself? Not really...

    There's a lot more to succeeding in life than IQ. Your EQ (people skills), along with what I like to call MQ (Moral Quotient) play a big role. Then there's your drive and determination which is probalby the most important one of all. Your looks and appearance along with a supportive family can also play a roll, along with the current economic climate, etc. Don't know why people focus so much on IQ.

    WHAT? NO! WRONG, WRONG, WRONG! Not ONLY did Judit Polgar NOT defeat Kasparov in a match, she never defeated ANY reigning world chess champion EVER (even in a SINGLE GAME!) under classical time controls! AND every world champion that she ever played against had OVERWHELMING records against her! Kasparov scored 8-0 (12-1 if you count blitz), Kramnik scored 14-0 (23-1 if you count blitz), and Anand scored 13-4 (28-10 if you count blitz). She also NEVER came CLOSE to qualifying to play for a world championship! In fact she finished in LAST PLACE in the only candidates tourney that she ever played in with an ATROCIOUS overall score of -5.

  • @jasonweiss3160
    @jasonweiss3160 2 года назад +1

    I guess I’m number 1. My IQ is 301 because I said so. See how dumb that is? If you think James Woods actually has an IQ of 180, or Ashton Kutcher has an IQ of 160, then you need to read more. Some of these humans listed are geniuses (IQ over 145), but it’s statistically impossible for humans to have an IQ over 200, especially if you understand “standard deviation” from the norm.

    So was everyone in the world given a IQ test?
    Also they are so subjective it’s not even funny. I have taken one from a real trained $250/hr. reputable psychologist.
    I scored 141😂. Now I’m no dummy but that ranks me at the low end of genius, of which I assure you I am average.

    In the first place IQ tests are meaningless because the score depends on how old you are when you take the test. It's the ratio of your mental age to your chronological age x 100. If you take the test at 10 years and your mental age is 50 you would have an IQ of 500, so how is that possible? Beyond age 60 you would have to have a mental age of 120+ to score 200, and if you took the test at 120 your IQ couldn't be over 100 since no one has lived longer than that.
