Promotional video for the The Historic Dockyard Chatham. 400 years of Living History.
A FANTASTIC DAY OUT IN KENT IS WAITING FOR YOU..
A visit to The Historic Dockyard Chatham - an experience like no other…
Exciting experiences await as you explore this unique destination. Climb aboard 3 historic warships (including our very own Submarine), make your own rope in our awe-inspiring Victorian Ropery and discover the 400 year story of the Royal Dockyard at Chatham in over 10 museum galleries.
    Will re-open on 8 February 2020.
We close for 2 months of the year to give our teams the opportunity to carry out any maintenance work - after all we are a 400 year old dockyard! Whilst we are shut to visitors, the dockyard comes alive in the evenings for private events. Click here for more details on private events.

Great video of a historic and valuable National asset.

A superb day out and so much to see and explore for all the family. Great promo video, but apart from the Ropery, not enough emphasis on some of the amazing historic naval buildings on site. That said, a very nice taster of the Dockyard where I completed my RN firefighting and damage control training in 1975. Also, HMS Cavalier is berthed in the dry dock that legendary HMS Victory was built. Highly recommended and tickets last for 12 months, allowing repeat visits for no extra charge.
