    That's so cool. My favorite parts definitely are Bon-Bon's eerie endoskeleton and the way you've incorporated his storage tank with both a more feasible casing opening mechanism and the sort of hybrid between CTW's and SL's depictions of the character's internals. The altered limbs to avoid clipping is definitely also an improvement, I think, though I think the ball-shaped joint covers on the elbows could've been replicated if with a bit of weirdness elsewhere. Logically these endos need two elbow and knee joints, and some other adjusting parts, to match any more closely to the game models - they're mentioned to break down all the time due to their excessive complexity by the technicians, after all.

    • @TheNickofTime
      @TheNickofTime  Год назад +48

      The removal of the colorful joint covers in the limbs was a stylistic choice as much as anything, I wanted more places to see the writhing Ennard tubes doing their thing. Those joint covers will be left on if I ever come round to do the Toy animatronics from FNaF2 though, since I think they make up a more important part of the overall look there.

    • @ultmateragnarok8376
      @ultmateragnarok8376 Год назад +8

      @@TheNickofTime Ah, that makes sense. Does make me wonder about how making a completely covering casing, but making _every_ panel able to open, might go. I may get on that. It indeed was one of the main features of the Toy line, particularly compared to the others they were shown next to. Though they also have significant clipping, both them and the withered.

    • @greasypreacher
      @greasypreacher 8 месяцев назад +3

      @@TheNickofTimeI’m so sorry, but the tubing has me stumped. I know it’s more for preservation of the original endos and how they incorporate into Ennard and Molten, but i’d love to hear what kind of technical uses the tubing might have, in movement and structural stability. Love your work❤

    • @grace4422
      @grace4422 6 месяцев назад +3

      @@greasypreacherI think it’s mostly to resemble muscles. It could also exist to help support the heavy casing since they still have normal endo skeletons underneath iirc. Or possibly for more fluid human-like movements since they’re more flexible. (Although I don’t know how this would really make sense since it’s just the joints moving, not the actual body parts.)
      I think Scott also said he just got a new pc and wanted to experiment with more advanced models but that’s more of a “why are they there” and not “what do they do” type answer.
      Hopefully we will find out for sure in future games. It would be cool to get a canon breakdown of design choices :)

    Brooo, I love your models! I work with electronics, and to add even more realism, I think you should add some more wires in groups of three. For example, if you have 5 motors in the head, you can add 3 wires per motor because servo motors have three wires: one black, one red, and one yellow. I hope that helps! :)

    • @TheNickofTime
      @TheNickofTime  Год назад +93

      Thanks for this advice! I very rarely work with electronics, and so I’m hesitant to model wires unless I’m sure I know where they’re going and what they’re supposed to do. I don’t want to just have a bunch of fake wiring pretending to serve a purpose, but that often means it gets neglected entirely.

    @rainbownote6881 Год назад +37

    I just have to say, and this may be more personal for me, that the detail of altering the joints so that the clipping like in the game disappears makes me SO HAPPY. For me at least, clipping has been something that wasn’t always pleasant to see and always bugged me, mainly because I thought it got rid of the ‘realistic’ feeling for me. I get that FNaF isn’t real and it was just Scott’s own indie project, but the fact that people actually acknowledge physics in this makes it feel so real and thought out. I love your attention to detail on everything, it just adds a whole new perspective to the FNaF universe. Well done!

      I remember feeling that Sister Location had missed a lot of potential in this regard. It had a lot of ideas that seemed to be teasing that they would be expanded later, that didn’t go anywhere. The banging noises in the vent-crawling sections got my hopes up that you might have to escape from something crawling behind you at some point. The control room is set up to look like it functions like your typical FNaF office, but the impression is only skin-deep, because it only ends up being used for a couple scripted sequences with no true danger to them.
      Since then, we’ve had Security Breach, which I really appreciate for picking up on a lot of Sister Location’s missed potential. True exploration, non-linear with branching paths, more interactions with the characters. It finally put a lot of those nagging grievances to rest for me.

    After you finish with the funtimes I would absolutely love to see your "mechanically plausible" takes on either the Glamrock Animatronics or The Mimic, to see how much of their original desings, features and abilities can be kept in a more grounded world. Are you thinking about it or what's your next plan?

      I have no plans to do one of these overhauls for Security Breach characters, because that game’s designs are much better thought-out than before. The sort of changes I like to make on earlier models are already being incorporated into the Security Breach designs by themselves. It’s a good thing, to be sure, it just means there aren’t as many interesting improvements to make. I’m sure there is still cheating to be found, but when they do cheat, it’s now well-hidden enough that this sort of mechanical redesign wouldn’t make for a very interesting video. It would look largely the same.

      @@TheNickofTime Yeah, The glamrock endos feel more grounded than most of the franchise, so I kind of see your point. But i'm still wondering If you will continue redesigning this franchise's characters after you're finished with the funtimes. And I'm also wondering if what you think about the glamrocks being more well-thougt applies to DJ Music Man, I think It's limbs are very skinny to carry It's weight, but I don't know.

    I have an idea for you. You how you make these characters kinda realistic? I think it would be cool see somthing like this but for the Daycare Attendant, like how he would change from Sun To moon.
