Regarding the first story, and just a thought: I wonder if Creams' "Pressed Rat and Warthog" might have been inspired by this story. Any thoughts? Comments?
if all these videos were time stamped i would listen to them way more. you just can’t really rely on youtube to save the track for you bc, on such long videos, they don’t always save and it’s easy to lose track of time and chapters :(
Unbearable listening through headphones whilst someone seemingly playing solitaire ( mouse clicking ) throughout the whole recording in the background.

What a difference it makes to have Well's superb stories so well read as this by Peter Walters.
Something pleasing about the way this narrator pitches. Nicely done :)
You should hear me read stories, Your better off listening to nails scratching a chalkboard.
Indeed! The elocution is reminiscent of the high mode of the publication's time period. Precise, steam power paced, articulate, British.
Fantastic Presentation By Reader , Bravos ‼️
What a brain Wells had. Some of the stories are depressing but, Zing, at the end, you get uplifted.
You find me of the lady that runs the bookstore in my hometown.
Hg Wells is an addiction I never want to be cured of

Wells demonstrates the value of the long view towards things.
Great escapism mr. Bookworm ✌️😇
I don’t like the narrator but I’ve loved HG Wells’ books since I was a child.
Better than usenglish I have to say.

Super. Exceptional. Brain food
Seems like I now see where Jean Auel got her ideas. Still, I enjoyed her books for a while.
