Let's first explore the fortifications of Chania, which have held the old city in a stone embrace for hundreds of years.
The walls date far back to the Byzantine Empire and 16th century. Then pass by an Old Municipal Market of Chania (Agora) and walk through Ottoman-Venetian streets to the unique orthodox Church of Agios Nikolaos with two towers, one of which is a minaret.
