The big problem is that Kia EV3 is cheaper and all around better. that 10 litre extra is negated with the lack of frunk. EV3 has an extra 25litres. Also deliveries are already rolling meanwhile Skoda is still sucking their thumb later to the spring with deliveries. 2 year warranty in 2024 will kill it most likely.
Yip I’ve the Enyaq 85 + and it’s brilliant.. looking forward to seeing the new Sportsline Elroq… tho the next Enyaq if it looks like the prototype it will be a game changer
Great video, Tish! Well done for being the first to get this review out there. Well, on my feed anyway and that's all that matters 😂 This looks like a great car but the loss of buttons is a bit of a shock given VAG are supposedly listening to our complaints on the subject.
That is certainly all that matters to me Chris!! 😁 I completely agree with you, especially with how tactile some of the buttons are in their combustion products.
Really nice video Tish ! Love the colour combination greys car and your outfit with greenish background ! Skoda done really great job keeping it European design unlike VW's recent models to please Asian markets/ buyers.
Great review Tish. I think this is a great new BEV option from Skoda, and very sensible to offer that smaller battery option to keep the entry price sensible (be even better if it was under £30k). That rear leg room is excellent
Here in Norway, the new Skoda Elroq 50 costs only NOK 300,000, which is 21,586 British pounds. :-) And all new cars in Norway have a 5-year warranty, with one exception, which is all Kia cars that have a 7-year warranty. :-)
Like the front, but as others have said, the rear looks a bit like any other Skoda SUV, almost as if they didn’t. Bother with rear styling just took it from an existing car.
Yeah, why oh why drop the customisable dials/buttons? 😂they really make sense… I am sure we will see more rival brands adopt them. Everything else looked great; looking forward to your test drive film. Thanks Tish.
The problem with the Elroq will be the usual mile long Skoda options list wich you will need to dip into to get a decent spec! Result a surprisingly high price😱
Its this or ev3 for me. Disappointing touchscreen for aircon. Has it got a decent voice control system for aircon and radio etc? Looks a much better option than the ford explorer.
Unfortunately, I couldn’t make the test drives. However, you can find reports of the test drives online. Overall it got very complimentary comments, lots of people said it felt like a small Enyaq. Comfortable and predictable, if a tiny bit stiff at times.
Tish, your video is the first one among ten that I just watched in its entirety. Of course that is partly due to me poor French skills. The car is generally exciting, Škoda may afford to triple the kitschy colors and science fiction looks. But like you, I am amazed that the are no Smart Dials. They should be in every single new VW group car, right? Also, the design of the rear is just boring, brings pretty much nothing new. Couldn't they find someone with an exciting buttocks as a template?
For whatever reason, I’m glad you stayed until the end! I definitely agree agree, I think it would’ve looked a bit bit better in something other than grey and it’s a shame the rear doesn’t look more like the spy shots. Either way, I genuinely think the tactile and fun interior makes up for it… however yes it seems such a shame that they have such a cool system in place with a smart dials and then don’t use them. This car was likely in the works way before the Smart dials were introduced.
Looks like the old problems with EV affordability persist. £31.5k is only affordable relative to the rest of the EV market. And for that entry level price, customers will still have to put up with a tiny battery with an unusable range and too long charging times for anyone who actually needs a car. A range of something like 250 miles will be stated, which means in real terms you get about 200 miles….but you don’t because you are only supposed to charge up to 80% and never let it get below 20% to preserve battery health so you’ll pay £31.5 k for a car that needs to be recharged every 120 miles!
European manufacturers are going to see that fooling people like they have is over. Charging extra for even basic things like a rear usb port or an umbrella wont cut it anymore. You can hardly buy a Chinese car that has cloth trim or manual seats etc but here its an opportunity to squeeze more money when it doesnt even cost them anything.
I wouldn’t say it was a disappointment, I would say that the spy shots were exciting. It definitely feels disappointing compared to them but still looks cool in real life.
Very different, striking evolution, new modern solid design language with distinctive shapes. REALLY? What are you talking about. Except for the front design, this is small copy of already 4 years old Skoda Enyaq. More decent and objective reviews without clichés please.
Why can’t you reviewers ever film the cars in natural light. I’ve seen better lighting in The Black Hole of Calcutta ffs! Get some lights attached to your camera. I stopped watching after a few minutes and went to find a decent review that shows what I actually wanted to see.
@@AutoSocialUKidk how to describe it, the front is nice but the back and sides look soulless and uncharacteristic, the interior is very similar to the enyaq, they've just coloured some trim, stitching and took the badge off of the wheel.
Likely the other way round. As the cutoff date for fossil fuel sales comes closer, the price of 2nd hand fossil fuel cars is likely to be less and the fuel will start to get harder to find as EV penetration increases and many more smaller EVs like the Inkster, EC3, R5, become widespread, people wont be bothered with an ICE car, except the very sporty ones.
It genuinely doesn't get any more bland and boring than this car. Designers seem to have given up even trying these days and just cookie-cutter these things out. Skoda literally following the VW playbook.
Dull boring car , the thing is as tall as you . Dreadful interior everything on a touchscreen is a big no no . Metros had red seatbelts in 1982 ! Sorry to be negative Tish , l really like your reviews, how about a rear drive car with a straight six up front , not electrical appliances .
Think Skoda might have nailed it with this car. Looks like a winner.
Are we looking at the same car here?

We have an Enyaq and the interior is fabulous. Really enjoy the car and will def look at this in the future.
That’s brilliant to hear, thank you for sharing
Yip I’ve the Enyaq 85 + and it’s brilliant.. looking forward to seeing the new Sportsline Elroq… tho the next Enyaq if it looks like the prototype it will be a game changer
Tish your videos are getting more fancy, really like this format !! and its 4k, thanks for another great review 🙂
Great video, Tish! Well done for being the first to get this review out there. Well, on my feed anyway and that's all that matters 😂

Car and outfit colour coordination on point as always 😊
Thank you 🙌 it was actually totally unplanned!

I like this, looks like Skoda have nailed it.
GREAT camera work, really stepping it up!
Thanks a ton! Maybe I’ll eventually be able to hire someone but for now I just take advantage of when the brands have them included 🥹

That is a great price for Norwegian buyers,,,is that price including any goverment grants?
Cracking vid!

I agree with this. Spot-on
Maybe their focus is on SSP platform and these are just filler cars until it.
I had an Enyaq for 3 years from launch - great car!... Skoda interiors are far better than VW IDs now.
Wow I really like the look of that..😁👍
Definitely l like the design, 286ps and the price. 👍
Love what you do keep up the great work you do
Much appreciated. ☺️☺️
Excellent video as always
Great review as ever. Thanks
Preview. Not a review until it's driven
Nice to see tiny EV boot space is a thing off the past
Great video, red seatbelt
(ioniq5 vs elroq is what im thinkin now🤔) i need to test drive this one to be able to decide😎 awesome presentation 🍻
Not too bad looking, the interior is much better, will be watching autotrader for second hand prices.
Yeah, why oh why drop the customisable dials/buttons? 😂they really make sense… I am sure we will see more rival brands adopt them. Everything else looked great; looking forward to your test drive film. Thanks Tish.
Great car , waiting for the Epiq.
Would have liked to have seen the view from the drivers seat, Speedo dials etc.
Yes sorry, no shots were supplied of that, I was quite disappointed too as it was rather nice!

It make happy moment for me. I like.
We need Elroq designers collab with the EV3 designers. Which is better? I’d choose reliability over value
The problem with the Elroq will be the usual mile long Skoda options list wich you will need to dip into to get a decent spec! Result a surprisingly high price😱
If you want to avoid the higher price, then choose fewer options.....
Its this or ev3 for me. Disappointing touchscreen for aircon.
Has it got a decent voice control system for aircon and radio etc?
Looks a much better option than the ford explorer.
Thumbs up for the front, thumbs down for the back. They just didn’t bother with the back at all.
Great looking car pity it wasn't hybrid. Thats what the new Tiguan should have looked like.
Hybrids rely on fossil fuel, which has no long term future.
So how does it drive? Hard or soft suspension? Much wind noise? You can’t review a car in a studio. Love your content 😊

It seems like quite a nice car. But for me I don’t like the black roof lining, making it look quite dark inside. Now awaiting a road test video.
Tish the seatbelts are red and so is the stitching.
Very orange to me.
@@AutoSocialUK Awe ok. Well Mark from Nobboy on Cars said they are red.
@@AutoSocialUK Definitely Orange..Thanks for the upload.
VW are closing 3 factories one in America two in Germany 😮
EV'S, an Impractical solution to an Imaginary problem.

You put on some timber girl
@@ruxod9002 I guess that’s what being happy looks like.

Looks very dull, idk, EX30, EV3 might cost more but are way WAY more interesting.
Do you really think so? I don’t think the grey is helping much.. have you gotten to the interior yet? I don’t know how that can be described as dull?
@@AutoSocialUKidk how to describe it, the front is nice but the back and sides look soulless and uncharacteristic, the interior is very similar to the enyaq, they've just coloured some trim, stitching and took the badge off of the wheel.
The latest news from Europe that 86% of sales have dropped EVs are slowing down in the UK
EVs are not our future there’s troubles ahead believe me….
Yes you're right I'm keeping my horse and cart 😂😂😂😂
Like we need another uninteresting bland mundane SUV reimagined lights.
Who would pay that kind of money for an ev that will have no value after 10 years. Get a petrol or diesel model.
Likely the other way round.
