Loved the fact that Roger took the time to cement back the opening. Its relieving NOT to hear a plumber or any tradesman say "Not my job" A true Professional and an awesome Mentor!
Just when I thought I had all the tools I need, I see this tiny torch. It would've made a lot of my jobs a lot more stress free
DIY trick. The next time you do a mortar joint put tape across the brick and then when you remove the tape, it’s fresh and clean like it’s part of the house or wall. Works great.
I love the advice. Thank you!
Wish those vacuum breakers weren’t so restrictive to flow.
Nice install 🎉
Was there an issue with re-piping it from the inside of the house? Would have been easier
A link for that nifty outer drill pipe sanding gizmo would be appreciated, thanks
Its funny I just have a handheld one and cut the handle off LOL. You can find that one here. a.co/d/g8ZXOAs They also make one specifically for a drill which you can find here a.co/d/5toUWVW
I'm replacing my non-frost free faucets early this spring. Probably using the basic Aquor cover system for the side (which I admit is a bit for bling purposes), and a frost free faucet in the back. I figure when I'm doing the work, the budget for these parts doesn't matter as long as it lasts 50 years.
I love the #aquor product. I designed a retrofit for them but they weren’t interested in talking about it. If they had a retrofit I could install them every day!
That wasnt a frost free bib but he corrects himself at the very end.
that 2nd valve on the main valve is the worst to have promotes freezing does not let the water out
why did you install a cheap rotating valve and not a better quality ball one? the price difference is like $5 at most
What watch are you wearing?
Luminox! You can find it here a.co/d/6YwAFyi
I live in the DFW area and we have this EXACT problem. They tightened it, then replaced the washer but we need to get behind the brick and replace it. I would not say this is easy. Maybe you can come help us do it 😉
Then you can come to south dfw and help me with two of mine that are in the same shape 🤠
Where did you get those gloves? Where can I get them?
I get them off Amazon! a.co/d/aCxbTCs
@@RogerWakefield thank you sir I love your channel by the way. My brothers and I are plumbers as well been watching your channel for a couple years.
Anyhow I appreciate your work keep at it man!
That's awesome! How long have you guys been plumbers?
@@RogerWakefield myself coming up on third year gonna take my journey man test soon.
My brother Marcus had been plumbing tens years now, and my brother Chris is about seven. We are all from the D/FW area we moved up to Oklahoma City to make a name and we have done well by the grace of god and hard work.
I don’t know that I would consider that frostproof….😬
No but if I recall he also is in Texas frost probably isn't that big of a worry
Way to make a mess of the brick
This guys a joke
I'm not a masonry worker...I'm a plumber
Was there no crawlspace access? I just feel like the bricks could’ve been left alone...
Looks like it’s on slab.
Even if it isn't on a slab, that would be above the bond, therefore in a wall not a crawl.
Slab on grade..no crawl spaces
Why is your thumbnail a picture of a not-frost-proof hose bibb?
A true frost-proof has the handle sticking straight out, not cocked up. This is a picture of a boiler drain being used as a hose bibb. Pre-80's, I'm guessing?
^^all said from the thumbnail. To offer help, I always recommend that (in the South), you walk around your house at Thanksgiving and disconnect the garden hoses. Best advice you can give.
I have lots of rental property. Used to be a plumber. Best advice ever. I go around every November disconnecting peoples hoses. Also changing your furnace filter every month. Especially because we have heat pumps.
You still got solder on that pipe clean it again sir.
On it
What I would have done differently is do what you did.
That's not a frost proof.
Fraud plumber con artist. Joke of a repair
I'd like to see a video of you doing a repair to help someone else out...I'm trying to make a positive impact on the world...what are you doing with your life, besides spreading hate?
@@RogerWakefield Ignore the haters. It's not you, they have issues just waking up and breathing. They need to whine.
