- We're here in Las Vegas for the much anticipated opening of Zippy's first restaurant outside of Hawaii. Did they hit the mark or fall short? We (along with Lisa's sister, Lesley, and our daughter, Erin) reviewed a few of their popular main items and of course some desserts!

How I miss Zippy’s restaurant!! As a teenager in high school that was my first job at 15 on the island of Kauai. Now that I live in Florida, no access to Zippy’s at all, next time I visit Vegas I will be heading there for sure. My favorite is the Chili, Zip pack, chicken, Teri burger, what the heck I love everything about Zippy’s 😂

Had the opportunity to finally check out Zippy's new location in Las Vegas over the weekend, and it was definitely thr same awesome quality as I remembered grom my last trip to Oahu years back. I really eurh there was a location in Southern California... specifically San Diego 🤙🏼

I have never heard of this restaurant before, the food looks so fresh and delicious. You can tell how well a restaurant is managed by the quality of food, the cleanliness and the friendly staff. Hi to the fam, it's so nice to see them again.

I’ve never tried Zippy’s in Hawaii but have been to the Vegas location a couple of times. The chili is delicious as is the teriyaki beef and Korean chicken. I love the ambiance and Hawaiian music - definitely a mini escape from the desert!🤙🏼🤙🏼
If you like their chili, definitely do their chili/chicken combo. It's a very easy combo!

Our viewers were really looking forward to an early release of this Zippy's video, so we pushed back our last London vlog, which is a good one, so please don't miss it. Yes, Lisa switched things up a bit with her ring. lol
I love the American roots from the 60’s…spam, canned corned beef hash, chili, franks, macaroni salad and fried chicken ❤
The zipack looks like a good way to taste the chicken, fish, spam and beef. Nice.
I drove past there last Sunday and tons of people were waiting in line outside.
Yes, the Zip Pack is a good combo to try. We'd imagine the weekends are packed.
Other restaurants in Hawaii have tried to emulate Zippy's zip pack but it's not the same. I'm referring to the take-out version. I believe (theory) the steam in the take-out adds something to the ingredients also. 7-11's (hawaii) zip packs I'll rate second best.

All of my favorite dishes. I have to wait until June for my Vegas vacation and visit Zippy's just so I can eat it all and a whole Dobash cake. Living in NJ hurts when I'm craving some local Hawaii style food.

Last heard that Sun Noodles opened, at least, 1 noodle factory in Teeterboro. So transplanted E-coast Hawaiian/locals can brew up local-style Saimin or fried noodles!

I was just there yesterday!! Wish I had a chance to meet you. we got take out and they were quick and efficient. I loved the chili and fried chicken. Will definitely go back when they have the loco moco. 😃

Although happy that Zippy's is branching out, I wonder about the impact on the local Hawaiian eateries in Vegas. Hope they can all make it. Zippy's does look very tasty. 😋
Very true statement, former Hawaii residents would like that type of food. I don’t about people that are from Las Vegas if they would like that type of comfort food.

The food looks like the same favorites I enjoyed at the Hawaii locations. Now, I have another great reason to visit Vegas. Another great vegas video!!❤ we were here last week and they still didn't have fried saimin, which we really wanted to try!!!😊 only got cornbread, glazed donut and Mac to go and that was really good. We will try back next year when the menu gets bigger. Everything you tried looked good. Glad to hear it was just as good as Hawaii!!❤❤ glad you had a good time😊 can't wait to see more vegas!!!

I've watched many reviews of this Zippy's here in Vegas, and it seems like no one is giving their dobash cake any love. Their chantilly cake is good, but their dobash cake is my personal fave.
You guys mentioned King's Hawaiian, who also have a good dobash (I'm from Hilo and remember the days of Robert's Bakery) and I'd say this one is on par with that, at the very least.
We'll try the dobash next time. lol

It's so good to see you guys in Las Vegas again! I've always wanted to try Zippy's. The food looks so delicious. Do you prefer the food at The Cal, King's, Gardena Bowl or Aunty Maile's...or is Zippy's just as good. Great video. Keep up the great work!

It's a popular chain in HI. A good place to try local Hawaiian comfort food.
I'm surprised at the variety on the menu! There are lots to choose from, and you said it doesn't have all the menu items! Wow!
Lots more choices including Daily Specials once the menu is complete.

The Vegas menu seems pretty extensive. Not sure what they aren't serving yet. The malasadas are made fresh when ordered...at least at the one I go to. Have a great week!
Thanks Carol! We have a new Oahu series coming up just before Thanksgiving. We visited a Zippy's and showed the menu. One thing they're missing from the Vegas menu are the Daily Specials.

You guys should do a review of market street cafe at the CALIFORNIA in Vegas so we can know if that’s a good spot😀
We have a video or two from there. We like their prime rib dinner, but can be a hit or miss getting a good cut.

Actually some items are cheaper here compared to Hawaii.

Flying back from Vegas now. Tried Aloha Specialties at Cal for first time (we stayed at Nugget) based on your videos. The wife and I really enjoyed it.

Both places are great and offer different things. Kings is very much local, only that restaurant and one quick service place, whereas Zippy's is a lot larger chain. Happy Holidays, Alan!
