A great classic. I wish you would tell us a little more about your thoughts/complaints/praise in the desc though. I mean you spent 6 hours on the game, what is another 5 minutes? :)
The music playlist is almost identical to the Megadrive version. 2:08:40 It seems *All the 6's...* got ground to easen up the difficulty, surprising considering that SNES Lemmings censored it and added some difficulty! 5:35:32 Why does the Menace tune play here?
For the second question, the level was an homage to the Psygnosis game "Menace", with an appropriately-designed theme to go with it. Each of the four difficulties had a shout-out to Psygnosis' other games as a level with appropriate theme and music track.
+Marco Funke - There were a few levels that used graphics and music from other Psygnosis games. I seem to recall one was based on Menace. These levels were sometimes left out of the ports for copyright reasons.
DMA Design developed Lemmings while working with Psygnosis. Psygnosis is the developer of the following games in which four Lemmings levels are based on: Shadow of the Beast, Menace, Awesome and Shadow of the Beast 2.
Not really. If someone bought a Super CD Rom² game and bought a mint PC ENGINE from 1987, the game wont work or even fit in the console, because it is not the right hardware for that kind of game. Additional hardware will be required, NEC add-on hardware. It's the same for SEGA CD games. SEGA CD requires a SEGA Genesis/MEGA DRIVE to play SEGA CD games, however the SEGA CDX is the exception. CDX is 1 console and no additional add-on is required to play both Genesis and SEGA CD games. However I wouldn't call SEGA CD games that play on a CDX "Genesis" games, that is confusing. The product name "PC Engine" doesn't clarify that a game is not HuCard and instead is CD, it just indicates that it's the NEC Japanese console that's it.
So I'm trying to play this game on RetroPie, and I can't for the life of me figure out how to actually switch which "job" I have selected in the bar along the bottom. Did this game require a 6-button controller or something?
It has all the same speech as the Amiga original. It has "Let's go!" at the start of each level, they say "Oh no!" when you use the nuke option and they yelp when they die. What speech do you think is missing?
Congratulations! You are one of the best that I have seen playing pc games ps 1,2, mega drive, snes, nes and others!
Oh! Lemmings was also released for PC Engine.
GOAT soundtrack

Deaths and Messages.
I didn't know there was a PCE CD-Rom² version of Lemmings.
Me neither.
I heard that this version is quite bad but I dunno why yet, any idea?

I was asking why Menace played in the level "Going up..."
Wow didn't expect to see the Amiga intro included, sure it's not as nice looking but still.
Pretty cool that the intro appears to be using the SNES Cutscene sprites.
Is it on a hucard or on a cd?
Finally, someone who knows how to play lemmings.
A little bit. But I learned from videos by Lemmingmaster, and from some other channels as well.
"Level 22: A Beast Of A Level" with "Shadow Of The Beast"-music?
Well... that's unexpected...
Amiga and Psygnosis. Look up the amiga longplay of this and the music is a LOT better.

They use the super Nintendo sprites for the intro
This version of Lemmings doesn't have an ending?
The Lemmings is slower than those of other platforms.
*Lemmings & Worms Armageddon, classic games*
This game is so hard but i like it .0.
6 straight hours! wut da huq! He needs some eyedrops! srsly man!
This version of Lemmings doesn't even have an ending at all.
How can you play so perfect ???
marcos antonio Loads of practice from playing the same game maybe?
Music sounds more like a Turbo Duo.
It's the same thing...

stringanime This is a CD ROM² game. I didn't think that the turboduo had its own games that sounded different.
@@stringanime Does this guy know how to party or what!
cool game
6 hours only
Thanks what ever you are
This is a CD game isn't it?
SNES sprites are cute
Hard to believe that this was exclusive to Japan only.
David Matoushek Yeah, wouldn't have thought they'd release a western game like this on a system only popular in Japan? Would you?
They reused the snes cutscene. Oh come on sunsoft just do like how dma design version of lemmings intro does do
From the realm of DOS

Ah, got it! You have to HOLD the "II" button while moving the D-pad. That was certainly non-discoverable!
The Amiga music is definitely better.
Oh no!
yikes dude how could a console this poweful have such a bad port of lemmings? horrible colors and a lot of lag, but great music
one of the most disappointing lemmings ports ever made... not even the save feature could save this port from being bad
ouch!
This version is incredibly inferior to the amiga version.
1: Music sounds like static ass
2: Lemmings don't talk

... Odd... I could have sworn... huh, my mistake.
welp im on the weird side of youtube again
