885 Locs …..Chile I’m deceased !!! She is a real one! They are beautiful on her! And Pauline I’m not surprised that you can do her retie in 3 hours ….you are truly the 🐐!
I appreciate your support of DIYers. I too understand the cost and the justification of it but I also understand that not everybody can’t afford it (or get to you 😊) so thank you for supporting us.
Am from the Caribbean, am doing my own hair but I just love her energy and willingness to teach and share her knowledge. Keep doing what you do hun. Wishing you well🙏
I'm thinking about doing mine n my daughter myself. I don't have the money. I've been doing research for about 6 months trying to get up the confidence to do it myself.
You provide a wealth of information. I too started my own loc journey however, I have no where near as many locs! I have approximately 160 locs! I started them with braiding my hair because I could not grasp my hair. My hair is low density and thin at the top in the crown. This could be because of age, meds etc. Any way I started my journey November 2019, after I went for a consultation at a very knowledgeable professional who I found to be very upfront. She I felt was honest and gave me great information. I had researched & researched, watch her videos and followed her on IG. It was a combination of several things that made me DIY, price and being able to get to her shop. Price was not bad and my children would have paid for the initial installation but I am that self reliant person! I am very pleased with my DIY locs! Still an issue finding someone in my immediate area for reties so one of my daughters help me with that or I do it myself. However, sometimes you want to be pampered, I wish I would have gotten my locs when I was younger it’s a wonderful thing and even better when you find a channel like this that gives a great education. Bless you!💜👏🏾💜
Great chat - thank you for sharing! I started my own and really need to find someone for the maintenance. I have 1/3 of her locks though (350). I never heard the difference between rope twists and regular over/under for two strand twist so I'm glad I didn't go back to redo mine with rope twists as I thought I would.
Your videos are so inspiring! I'm getting closer and closer to beginning my loc journey. Can you show us the difference between a rope twist and a regular 2 strand twist? I never knew there was a difference.
Pauline is a beautiful lady!!! I'm in Michigan just put in mini twists to practice parting. They came out lovely, but I know my parting isn't correct. So I will be using the skills of my braider for parting. But, I wish I lived in GA to have You start my microlocs. Blessings to you both!! 800+ locs honey the arthritis in my neck and shoulders is like honey bless you, but NO!!
Thank you. This is a short that I did showing how I achieved the curls. Once you get the curls, just put the top of your hair (crown) in a ponytail ruclips.net/user/shortsw_8sPTtpv-U?feature=share
Whew Chile 😮kudos to you! I’m thinking about a diy but definitely not micro micro 😂 once you start you can’t give up! Mine will be slightly larger. Great job though

Hi Pauline.. I'm a new subscriber to your channel. I find it to be very informative and I love the videos that you put out. This young lady has a lot of beautiful twist locs. What size did she use to start her locs? I'm debating between getting SL or doing my own microlocs. I'm currently wearing 2 strand twists..if I decided to loc when they start to unravel..should I retwist the unraveled part or just let them be?
Hi, her parting size is a little less than a 1/4 of an inch. In the beginning stage, you can twist them back if they unravel but once they start to bud or mat, just let them be.
Ahhhh this has spoke to my Soul!! I’m currently in the process of redoing my starter locs (put them in via two strand twist) because I’m not 100% happy with the size❤️

Thank you love
She did an awesome job on her own installation. I love that you do mind sharing information and helping us take care of our locs.
She really did a great job and her grid is really nice. Glad you're enjoying my channel.
😮 I know her hands were tired but they look so good ❤ them.
She's my favorite! I want tiny 1/4 parts and a high loc count all the same size. I wish she had a channel and shared her grid and everything.
I tried to get her on RUclips, but she hasn't yet. It's a lot of work, and she probably doesn't have the time for it.
I'm thinking about doing mine n my daughter myself. I don't have the money. I've been doing research for about 6 months trying to get up the confidence to do it myself.
You can certainly do it. Determine the technique you want to start with (interloc, braids, twist, coils, etc) and size, then loc. You got this!
@@EnToiBeauty My hair is a very frizzy 4b4c. Can I twist using aloe vera gel to start??
Wow, that’s awesome. Her determination is amazing! She never gave up. That speaks volumes! Thanks for sharing! Her hair is beautiful!😉☺️
Yeah she surprised me
Love your channel, keep the "Loc Talks coming." I've had my SL's 7-months and I LOVE THEM.
May God continue to bless you.
Aww, thank you😊
TFS! This was great...so wonderful to hear others perspective/reflection of their journey and to see a professional so encouraging 💜
Thank you🥰
I loved Selange!!! I also loved Pauline!!!! You both have inspired me to do more research and to do my own install. Thank you very muvh

Great video. I had installed and maintain for myself, 220 locs and it takes a day to retie. I'm 9 months in. Love her thickness! Best wishes
220 is a good amount

Love this video. Quick question. When will classes start again? My daughter is interested in becoming a loctition.
Soon 😊
Enjoyed this video!

I recently started mine. I did the two strand twist but I only did the front part of my head.
Awesome, take your time and be sure to finish it. You can do it!

Hi am new to the channel I had loc for 2 months like to know what can I do about the frizz on the end of my locs?
Hmm, this is a loaded question, 😆. Will be doing a video soon so I can touch on different textures, products, etc.
Thank u for getting back to me I will be waiting for it I love your personality you have a beautiful Spirit
@@tracyadams2429 aww, thank you
She sounds like Monique from Love & Marriage DC/Real Housewives.
They have the same tone and cadence.
I don't think I've seen that show. I barely watch TV lol
I have traditional locs and want micro locs. What is your advice on doing so?
*6 years Loc’d and at waist length *
The easiest thing to do is grow your hair out, cut to the desired length you want to keep, then comb out what's left and loc from there
No sound
I think it's on now. Please let me know if it's still not on.
