Just for the record, I’m Christian, Baptist specifically, and I find this song fine. It’s not actually saying she’s in love with THE Judas, it’s just using the story of Judas as a comparison/reference when talking bout an Ex she had that she loved but he betrayed her. Granted I don’t think this song is writing that well and specifically the end part is weird and when I first listened to this song I did think she was saying she loved Judas for betraying Jesus, which if that was the case then yeah I would’ve hated this song, but after reading the comments and listening to it again, it’s most likely about her Ex. As someone who is gay, this song has a particular meaning to me. It symbolizes me as someone who used to try to resist my attractions to girls (the figure of Judas is a metaphor for that).

Just for the record, I’m Christian, Baptist specifically, and I find this song fine. It’s not actually saying she’s in love with THE Judas, it’s just using the story of Judas as a comparison/reference when talking bout an Ex she had that she loved but he betrayed her. Granted I don’t think this song is writing that well and specifically the end part is weird and when I first listened to this song I did think she was saying she loved Judas for betraying Jesus, which if that was the case then yeah I would’ve hated this song, but after reading the comments and listening to it again, it’s most likely about her Ex. Personally I don’t think it’s wrong to use bible stories as comparisons or analogies, it gets more people interested in the Bible or least the stories of the Bible, but maybe I’m wrong and to each their own. I don’t think she’s “not a Christian” or a “bad Christian” for singing this song and I don’t think that you’re a “bad Christian” for listening or liking it either, not saying she is or isn’t a Christian, i don’t know but just saying. I do prefer Chris Jericho’s Judas song over this as it’s better written imo.
