Singapore's proper attire is bermudas/shorts, T shirts and flip-flop slippers. You were dressed perfectly, don't dress up. Don't even make up as the humidity & sweat will mess up all your make up. Actually, Tia don't need any make up -- she's a natural beauty. Have fun! 👍👍
A true local could wear long pants without sweating
@@xfirefox_x A true local has less than 10% body fat, unlike us Americans. 🤣
I can't agree more! Tia looks like a celebrity!
So, my bet is you shot this episode on a Sunday--maid's day off! One of the really fun sights in Singapore is seeing all the maids gather for picnics on their day off. Largely based around language/country of origin, each ethnic group gathers in particular spots to eat, take selfies and gossip about their employer.
This type of info is so wonderful to see commented here. We would never know this.
It was on a Sunday! You know Singapore well.
I knew you would be blown away by the Light Show, I’m so glad you got to experience it… I’m sooo Happy for you 🙂🦘🇦🇺
So nice to see travellers returning to Singapore!!! Enjoy your stay here 💖
Greetings from Royal family inshallah Allah ❤️السلام عليكم ان شاء الله لقاء جميل دائما مشغول ولكن هنا الان كيف حالك وكيف يسير يومك
Love how both of you appreciate all the good things happen along the way. No matter what, it is a good experience for you guys. Feel positive when watching your video. Resident of Singapore 🇸🇬
Well thank you, it is nice that we give off that feeling 😊 Life is short!
12:16 Shenton Way/ Robinson Road/ Raffles Place is the Wall Street of Singapore and it's commonly called the Central Business District(CBD).
Hainanese chicken rice is cooked in chicken fat, garlic and pandan leaves that's why it is so flavourful.
Local Singapore coffee is roasted in margarine and sugar which results in that chocolatey taste.
Thank you for the info! Very interesting way to roast the coffee. It comes out quite good 🙂
Haha not to mention most places make the coffee w filter bags that has came to be known as stockings coffee
Fun Fact: Singapore used to have the tallest Merlion in Sentosa which reached 37 metres. sadly it got demolished.
Why was it demolished?
@@rohith542 something about not fitting with Sentosa’ development plans.
Welcome to Singapore🇸🇬 🥳🫰🏼🫶🏻🫰🏼🥳 EnjOy and have fuN . . .
Thank you! 😊🙂
Wow, Singapore has some very interesting architecture. Those trees were pretty unique
I didn't know this until our former Prime minister Lee passed away. He literally went overseas for a few days to learn about what kinds of tree Singapore should plant to transform it into a garden city

that's Ya Kun Kaya Toast! I love how they make their toast and their set breakfast with eggs is to die for! its a part of my childhood I will never trade away. so glad you went to try it!
Delicious! It seemed strange at first to us but now we’re saying to each other that we want to cook it for ourselves!
@@OnePackWanderers the secret to Ya Kun eggs is they are cooked sous vide. The traditional way which the coffeeshops do it is simply pouring boiling water over eggs. You get different texture as a result. Not that it's bad, both ways are good, just wanting to manage your expectations
Wow! Those electric trees! Thanks for the great day trip!
oh I like too

The Singapore weather is so nice!!!
the weather is usually around 32c (90fahrenheit) or higher with around 85% or higher humidity. it just rains because its too hot and evaporates all the water in the air. rain is somewhat uncommon unless its monsoon season near the end of the year.
Nothing wrong being from a small town. I've found the nicest people in the world come from small towns.
I think you can find a drone at Sim Lim Square. Or perhaps Sim Lim Tower.. Better luck there. All the best!
Welcome to Singapore! You could try Joo Chiat area for Peranakan culture and unique buildings. There are not many high rises there because of the old architecture buildings to be preserved. Peranakan food is exceptionally good too where you can visit Kim Choo shop for some of the Nonya food. You can exit at Eunos MRT and walk towards Still Road into Joo Chiat. It is one of the most unique neighbourhood in Singapore.
Wow!! That light show was AMAZING 🤩 Thank you for sharing. Lots of love from Kentucky, USA🤗🙏 Safe 🧳 travels 🥾
If you guys are adventurous with food, try the frog porridge in Geylang! Looks like you guys are staying nearby. There's several stalls in that area but this is the one i usually go to: Geylang Lor 9 Fresh Frog Porridge (芽笼九巷活田鸡). There is also tons of food in the geylang area!
Didn’t know Singapore has tourists coming back to explore! Stay safe!! 😷
Legit way of eating roasted chicken rice! With all the sauces drizzled on!
I feel proud 😎
You guys should also try Cha Kway Teow, Laksa, Mee Siam, Satay, Roti Prata, Fried carrot cake, etc etc... Lots of good food here :D
lots of good food here yet as a Singaporean the hardest question everyday is what to eat for dinner
Welcome to Singapore 🇸🇬
I'm so glad you guys enjoyed my country, like how I really enjoyed your video contents!
not sure if anyone suggested pulau ubin. it's an island reachable by ferry from changi jetty. bicycle rental is available on the island. a total different experience from the city itself
No one had mentioned that, thank you for the tip. We are leaving Singapore early tomorrow morning, but we already have a list of things for next time 🙂
0:00 good choice
I suggest you getting a mavic mini 2 drone, very light and easy to use. I always take it with me when I go on my travels.
The Malays are going to celebrate their new year (Hari Raya). U should check out geylang serai bazaar (Malay night market). Also, check out Haji Lane and the surrounding areas. It’s a mixing bowl of different culture.
Actually sir, common misconception. Eid ul Fitr is not the Muslim new year. It is actually the 1st day of the 10th month (Syawal) on the Muslim calendar. It mark the end of fasting after the mo th of Ramadhan.
The 1st month of the Muslim calendar is actually Muharram. 😊
The City is so clean , also I have noticed that they gave u a good haircut in Singapore ( 😉) 🤭
If you get the tourist pass in Singapore, it allows you unlimited travel across all the public buses & trains, also a cheaper way to get to and from the airport. A 24hr Pass is like $11 , 2 day is $23 and 3 day is $33 ( from memory) . You also get a portion of the ticket back ($5) when you return it back at the railway station ticket booth at the airport. What hotel did you two stay at in Geylang ?
Newton food centre, satay, samba stingray bbq, cereal prawns, curry fish head, frog leg porridge, cray pot rice 😄
You guys have really really great photography skills! Enjoy our island city!
Glad to see you reading suggestions and following up on them. Hope you enjoy your time here!
Love Love Singapore we stayed in Marina Bay Sands and our room overlooked Gardens by the Bay absolutely stunning and amazing thanks for the trip down memory lane ❤
I am home grown Singaporean, its great to see what foreigners like about Singapore and what they enjoyed most. Good to watch your video!
Here right now!! nice accommodation, polite people, amazing transport- easy to get around, great attractions, modern, clean, options for all ages. Forget about cost- enjoy an exciting, eclectic time abroad
So great of you having to post on RUclips for Singapore, there is so much on the locals to spend so little or even no need to spend to enjoy 😉
Greetings from Royal family inshallah Allah ❤️السلام عليكم ان شاء الله لقاء جميل دائما مشغول ولكن هنا الان كيف حالك وكيف يسير يومك
What id The Juice Taste Like? Absolutely Loved The Tree Lightshow. Bloopers Had Me Laughing
Whenever you have coffee here, you can ask for less sweet (coffee siew dai) or even without sugar(kosong)
Yall can try to go to sungei buloh and have a nice walk adventure and its free! Full of nature
Kickapoo Joy juice my favorite!
I hope u guys have a Fun-an -d enjoyment for the rest of ur stay in Singapore!
Drones! I bet sim lim square at rochor canal road would have sold them. Sim Lim Square is like a hub for electronics 😁
Thanks
Actually, drinking on the MRT is allowed but drinking sweet drinks on the train are not allowed, so do not be afraid to drink water on the MRT. :)
Huh, no idea! That is an interesting distinction. Maybe because sweet drinks are tough to clean up?
@@OnePackWanderers yeah maybe
Never tired of seeing the supertree grove
Hello dear it's good to always smile with a pure heart and love ..and I guess you should know more about me...
Yakun always use the most fresh egg. If the egg is not fresh, they will throw it away right in front of customer
I stayed in that big boat hotel. The whole top is a sky pool and bar, with free snacks.
Hi Singaporean here. Enjoyed watching your travel experience in Singapore. Eagerly looking forward to your next video.
Words of caution from a
personal experience- I had my DJI drone confiscated at the airport at Da Nang Vietnam by immigration office, only to be able to retrieve it back after the whole trip because I didn’t know the permit rules. So better to check before you fly to Vietnam.
Thank you very much for informing us. We have been trying to figure out if they are allowed or not but there doesn’t seem to be clear rules. I think for now we will hold off on buying a drone.
Yay new video! Let's go!
Welcome to SG! U are supposed to dip into the sauce not overwhelm it!
I think you use light soya sauce, by right egg should go with dark soya sauce and pepper and mix,
Dip your kaya butter bread.
Ha dang, I thought we included the shot of us dipping the bread in the egg 😂
I would recommend breaking the egg yolks up and stirring it with the whites before eating it, it tastes much better that way 😄
Your video looks very good, clear and no more vibrations. Praise for such a good shot. Very special in both color and landscape.👍👍👍😍😍😍😍
You guys are so charming to watch .
I can see that you have walked almost everywhere in the city area.
Hi! What a coincidence! I am currently waching you guys in SINGAPORE!
Excellent video of a beautiful location...... awesome sights.
you guys can try getting at DJI store or other stores in Austin Heights in JB, since there is no quarantine involved.
Thank you for thinking of us 🙂 When we go to Malaysia, we want to see it properly. It may be a good thing that we didn’t find a drone, it seems Vietnam is a bit strict with what they’ll allow.
Breakfast = toast with butter and kaya=coconut jam; My favourite brakfast= 2soft boiled eggs and butter toast; .Singapore breakfast; with kaya on butter toast and soft eggs = seems to me tasty !
Rice is always boiled in chicken broth= a simple dish ; but is worth a Michelin Star! Singapore is small Western country and property is valuable; that because the highrises are so dense. OMG ! LOL !!
"Long ass f***ing time ago in a town called Kickapoo" -Tenacious D immediately came to mind when you bought that drink 🤣
I hope you had a great time here! I was hoping you’ll try Ya kun so it made me really glad to see that you went!
Singapore is incredible.
Hey, “Crazy Rich Arizonan” lol
That’s what I think of when I think of Singapore. I was there back in the 90s and it was no joke with the cost of everything 🤯🤯
Also, I’m surprised you guys didn’t eat the chicken with oily rice when you were in Thailand… it’s basically boiled chicken with rice cooked from the chicken broth!! Another one of my favorite Thai dishes💥❤️❤️
And I was just thinking that you guys are keeping it simple with all your filming, no drones!! It would be a great addition but just remember more stuff to “one pack wonderers”
Good stuff guys and stay safe🙏
I have the same opinion, "no drone" needed in this channel, you guys are doing fine with all the contents so far. Drone is more suitable for vlogers who travel alone...just my 2 cents😊
Guessing both of you are already in Vietnam. There are artworks in many of the Singapore MRT stations in certain lines like the Downtown line. It can be fun going to the different stations and trying to interpret how the artworks relate to the stations and the location.
We are exploring the Downtown line a bit today to see some of this. Nice free (almost!) way to see art!
Visiting Singapore was very fun and satisfying, I've also been there with precious memories. Enjoy traveling in Singapore, have a nice day.
That brown skin chicken, is actually roosted chicken. And yes the rice is cooked with chicken bone broth.
They are not actually roasted but deep fried.
Thanks for sharing
tbh ive never really gotten the hype over the trees at gardens by the bay
You can bring drinks on the train just no drinking. Because Singapore, it’s a green city so the government do not want people to litter around with food wrappers or drink cans btw Hainanese is pronounced as hai-na-nese
❤❤❤
i moved to Singapore 2 years ago and chicken rice is my go to meal when I'm too lazy to prepare/cook a meal at home lol probably my favorite place to go is the Cloud Forest
You should visit Sim Lim Square and Funan Mall for your drones and electronics 👍❤️
Yea the issue is that the drone we were looking for is in the process of being replaced by a newer model so no one had it in stock 😬
Next time, you guys should visit Sentosa, and pulau Ubin (the older sg can be seen a bit there, and you can go cycling!
Next time we come to Singapore, we're going to spend much more time. There's a lot we missed, and for such a tiny country it has a lot of depth.
@@OnePackWanderers of course! If you want, I can even be your tour guide HAHA I've always wanted to 😩
That would be absolutely incredible 😊
Mall is oasis, the cool spot for heat escape.
i think tourists who come to singapore should also explore other places like those residential ones(eg serangoon) probably can give a feel of what the other side of Singapore is like... is just an opinion but of course they should still visit marina bay sands, gardens by the bay etc.
Walking around is our favorite part of exploring a city. We spent so much time walking around Geylang 😅
@@OnePackWanderers oh then...so sorry guess i kind of mistook everything
Oh no not at all! We didn’t spend nearly enough time exploring the different neighborhoods, as we were only there for 5 nights. Singapore is a place we really want to revisit soon to explore more. It really took us by surprise.
Hope you guys enjoy your time here! Great content and subbed ;)
Are you still in Singapore, be sure to come to Maplewood Park!! Fun fact: It used to be a pig farm
Hi your chicken fishes looked wonderful. Thank you stay safe 🙏☺❤
You can try Sim Lim Square near Rochor if you're still looking for a drone
Thank you for the tip! 😊🙏🏻
Go to bugis n ask for Sim Lim Square n lots ot it products n you can bargain till your happy but never allow the sales person to fool you.
The puns in this one, LOLOL! If you get a drone, just a heads up that some countries don't allow them to even enter the country - they'll be confiscated. We've seen others leave it in another country, return and get it later. The Mini2 is a great choice, if you can find it!
This is definitely a big concern. It’s getting (understandably) increasingly difficult to fly drones internationally. Morocco is one country we know of that just doesn’t allow them at all.
Vietnam is a gray area when it comes to sub-250g drones.
For us, it seems the Mini 2 is pretty much impossible to get right now because they’re switching production over to the Mini 3. Glad to hear it’s a good choice, though. We will probably get the Mini 3 eventually 🙂
enjoyed your videos, good editing, it's beautifully done and you both are so cool :-)
Thank you, that’s very nice of you to say 😊
I can see that you didn't visit the Domes while you are at the Gardens by the Bay. You had to visit them. Love to buy you guys tickets and share your experience. Please let me know how I can do that. Have fun while you are in Singapore! 😎
i think the front camera with cinematic mode make the video abit blurry and shaky sometime.
The city looks beautiful! And omg, the bloopers in this one 😂😂😂
It’s stunning! We weren’t expecting such a beautiful city
Welcome to Singapore! Y’all should have went to Sim Lim Square for drone! Its one of Singapore cheapest it mall lots of good stuff!!
U lucky man,she is so beautiful.
Hi guys! I've been following your videos for a long time. I'm sure you realize how blessed you are to be able to experience so much of the world - more than most people do in their lifetime.
Most of the Kaya Toast videos show white bread - but yours looked brown like whole wheat, which I'd prefer. Was it whole wheat?
Thanks!
Bob
If you are referring to the Ya Kun Kaya Toast, they are using Hainanese bread. They slice a piece of the bread into thin halves and toast it till it is crispy and charred to that colour.
@@k0414 So they are using bleached white bread, not whole wheat?
@@magicbobNJ Sorry, i can't answer that part as i do not know the exact flour that they use. :( I can only confirm on how it is toasted till its brown in colour.
@@k0414 Thank you for your help. I googled one recipe and it used white bread flour. Do you know the color of the inside of the bread at this place, before toasting?
@@magicbobNJ it's white bread and toasted to that brownish color. After you toast it, it's brown. I am a Singaporean. Love this dish and the runny eggs.
Tiong Bahru is a good place to explore and have good food
Stunning shots
I have a used Mavic Air. Actually used it for a few flights. Let me know if you interested to view.
Hey thank you for the offer! We are in need of the Mini 2 because its weight helps with regulations in various areas. It will be tricky in Vietnam 😅
Singapore looks awesome
u didnt walk to marina barrage, the view at it's top is really beautiful.
We we have heard 🙂 We had spent too much money already that day, though 😂
Can try Vivocity, they have a DJI retail store at the 2nd level
After checking with a dozen stores, it seems the particular drone we’re after (Mini 2) is in the process of be discontinued to make way for the Mini 3. Ah well 🙂
13:17 since you guys are apple users, just letting you know thats a newly opened apple store!
FYI, rice is cook in strong chicken broth :)
Nicely done with the "...Funan around." :D
We have fun 😂
You guys really walk alot!! Looking at the location u been to..
We ended up walking 12 miles that day 😂 We like to walk though, makes us feel like we are seeing more than we usually would.
Chú Thu từ Frankfurt Đức. Đã đăng ký kênh của cháu rồi đó.! Chúc cháu có một chuyến đi du lịch thật vui vẻ và hạnh phúc nhé cháu !!!
lovely and beautiful couple ! Thanks for sharing with the nice video :)
I think you guys meant to go to the shopping street that stretches from Orchard MRT to Somerset MRT!
I thought so too. Plaza Sing wasn't what I was expecting when you said Orchard, but it looks like you had a great time anyway-the shorts were a good choice!
Yet another awesome video guys but I've come to expect nothing less from you both 😁 was that super excited Tia Beaver in this episode - spectacular light show and my wife who is Thai says the Chicken on Rice there is better than here 😢 out of curiosity, what drone are you after?
Whatever you buy I'm so looking forward to the new content as and when it arrives 😁
❤️🇹🇭🇺🇲🇸🇬❤️🙏🏻
We are looking for the Mavic Mini 2. It seems like the best balance of affordability and portability for our very limited space 😅 We shall see, though, because Vietnam has apparently been cracking down lately.
@@OnePackWanderers I fly a dji mavic 2 and 5 years ago I had to jump through flaming hoops to fly it legitimately, insurance and license and permission from Aviation Authority of Thailand, then you need permission from the temple your in etc ( if you're flying in a temple) I watch so many vloggers on RUclips around Asia and you never here any of them discuss / talk about permission etc. If and when you get your drone, I'd be interested if you thought it was worth mentioning in your videos if you have had to take out insurance or have a licence etc.
They introduced prison sentences here and hefty fines for flying without the appropriate documentation.
Go careful when you start flying 🤗 thanks for the reply as always 🙏🏻
@@markrees18 Prison sentences! That is really something, though I do imagine that drones would become a huge issue in heavily travelled areas. If we do get a drone, we’ll be transparent about the process.
@@OnePackWanderers I knew you would be 🙏🏻🤗
