How did you know it was the ignition coil not the wires going to the spark plugs because I had a misfire and check engine and I changed the wire s and now after 1 year the misfire and check engine is back, do I have to change the ignition coil now and should it be a OEM part?
Is this engine a 1.6L "E-Tec II" with code F16D3? Different year revisions in different regions can make it hard to know. This definitely looks like the E-tec II in my much "newer" Aveo in South Africa.
You'll should receive on your dash a check engine light . You you will need scanner and the scanner will give you a code that might read cylinder misfire or when your car doesn't start thank you!
exactly what i needed as well thank you so much
