I think it would be more realistic if the best movie award was given each round only for the movies of that specific round but designers decided otherwise!
i did not expect to like this game...as the theme is not something karen or I gravitate towards. however, the the play through makes the game look pretty interesting. Only downside ( i presume) is that it looks like it would need at least 3 and preferably 4 to make the game work. any idea on how it works at lower player counts?
I'm not sure, I've never actually played a full game of this one. I don't think there are any setup changes for player count beyond adjusting the number of tiles on the Horror Con spots, so at higher counts I could see the auctions feeling different than lower counts. That's part of why I decided to show a 4p game for this video.
The worst movie award slightly offends my eurogame sensibilities, though thinking about it perhaps it _shouldn't._ It's certainly an interesting bit of game design. I need to think a bit more about what I feel about it.
Things are different in the horror/syfy film genre. Often a "bad" movie is a fantastic movie. Troma studios made an entire production co around "bad" films. Peter Jackson would never have gotten where he is with out his early stuff like Bad Taste and Dead Alive both low budget bad but awesome movies. Same for South Park creators collage film Cannibal the Musical. You also have MST3K, Joe bob briggs , elvira , and usa up all night that all just center around airing mostly "bad" movies. I mean I love these movies but most people would indeed be like what the hell. My roommate nearly lost his lunch trying to watch Dead Alive one day. So yes the worst award fits the theme :)
Thanks for this video! I recently purchased this game for “spooky season” and now I know how to play!
I hope you enjoy it :)
Great video thanks.
Thanks for the play through. Although I’m not fond of auction games this one looks like it would be fun with the right group.

Hey Jon, sorry to be off-topic, but there's a humorous mention of you @12:35 of this Dice Tower video: ruclips.net/video/2cJe0V8dZqA/видео.html
HA! That was hilarious!

Love your tutorials, can you still get this game?
It's my understanding that it will be available very soon.
Looks a bit flat to me!
