@@unknown-agario4115if you’re looking for good gameplay, this is easily recommended. Some of the best gunplay you’ll ever experience. The basis of the story is excellent, but it’s ignored throughout the game by the devs for some reason, you kind of have to find out what’s going on yourself. This game is usually recommended for its near perfect gunplay, the combat shotgun is such a classic weapon. Hope you chose to play!
Geez, this brings me back... It was a great ,atmospheric game when i played for the first time. Never got boring even when playing it for the 5th time. Thaks for the memories !
It's worth noting that we never see Fettel outside the Synchronicity Event. We don't know how much autonomy he retains but it's clearly less then Pointman. It's possible that this isn't what he's like at all and he simply lacks the ability to resist Alma's influence.
What does that mean? particularly which actions? Synchronicity doesn't make Fettel a puppet for Alma, he still had his free will, I think he is autonomous for the most part and he is just avenging Alma. Not sure about the cannibalism though
Lust for power and glory of empires really turn victims into renegades. The game is not just about horror and first person action it has huge plotline and a story which is very heavy with emotions. The last made me cry 😭😭 Alma or her soul is calling her son to her even after her death in this material world. Why this game is underrated I don't know?
Haha! I know why he did that! Right now I'm playing FEAR through STEAM.....and yesterday I did exactly the same thing as the guy who makes this video. And I did it on purpose. WHY? Cause it is freaking scary and I always jump away from my PC. Haha!
@@chazy123 I actually think horror works better with older graphics (at least up to a point) for 2 reasons. Firstly, showing less lets your mind fill in the details, which is always the most effective way of scaring you. That's vitally important in games where the director can't control the camera. And secondly, it gets you in the mindset of seeing the environment as somewhat representational - evoking reality rather than showing reality. This lets them present a far more exaggerated tone without being immersion breaking. This second point goes for all sorts of games, not just horror.
I did had this game on ps3 but could not get any further was getting killed by these men so i decide now to watch it the story was creepy and scary as hell this what u called a psychological horror game and i love how u eited the game play to make it more like a movie
I remember watching my brother play this game back in 2010, I was so bombarded I couldn't tell what was happening. Then I think he was being chased by Alma.
A pretty great game in its time, one I played through several times. I had/still have a few issues with it, namely that start to finish it feels like the entire city is already utterly deserted. There is no atmosphere outside 100ft from wherever you are standing, nothing to give external life to the news reports on the radios. The enemy variety is also pretty narrow. But this game nailed the dank, dark corridor shooter. The general lack of music and reliance on horror aural ambience is great.
I've always been interested in the nature of the main character of this game. Did Alma choose them because of their ability to deflect everything she threw at them?
It's not explained but the way I see it, Fettel is basically a puppet being controlled by Alma while Pointman can resist her and even has some influence the other way. I see it as Pointman exploiting his connection to Alma to kill (or immobilise while he kills) Fettel. Also, it's worth mentioning that we never see Fettel's birth. It's possible she was comatose the whole time, in which case she may have no attachment to Fettel at all (I mean just watch the opening; the Synchronicity Event clearly isn't pleasant for him). So, while I don't see Fettel's death as Alma deliberately picking a favourite, I do think she prefers Pointman.
No, it's because of spoilers... Alma chose Fettel cuz he's her son. Like her mother, he also has psychic powers, that's how he can do the weird shit we see him do. Alma died long ago, can't remember if before or after being locked in the vault, but her powers kept her alive in a decaying state. She made him free her and kill them all, the ones responsible for all the mess. Point man is also Alma's son, but neither know until later in the game, the only one who seems to know since the beginning is Fettel. Later on, we can hear Alma whispering to point man: "I know who you are"... and from that point she starts helping him instead of trying to kill him (although the fact the she tried several times and was unable was also a factor IMO, probably helped her figure out who he is). And while he doesn't have any psychic powers like his brother, he's got insane reflexes, that's how he's able to stay alive and kill hundreds of clones, security staff and the different types of mercenaries.
Alma was only 8 when she was experimented on, was forced into a coma and the guys who was experimenting on her pulled the plug on her, killing her instantly. She took over the cloned guards ( HI STAR WARS) in the afterlife
i love the dlcs too, so scary, i wish more horror games were like this..or maybe there are and i just have no money to play them XD Fettel is so awesome, such a mamas boi
Now looking at those freaky baby cries and heart beat sound in horror sequences, bullet time, etc, I can definitely see some Max Payne influence here :)
Thanks a bunch that was one interesting ride I liked it to bad I'll never get a chance to test drive this game myself because it's not for ps2 systems to bad for me anyway but thanks for the ride anyway😌💛😌
I was 15 years old in my 30s now. I remember this game scared me so bad I could not play it. By the way all I do is watch horror movies all day. So why this fake got the best of me idk .
I never played this but given what i hurd on Alma. i see her not as a villion Somone who dose Evil for the sake of being Evil. Rather a tortured soul out for Vengance. When somone is treated badly enuph and they live through the trama. Like alma did.....it changes u. idk exactly how as im not psycolagist i do immagen however it dipends on how strong ur will is and how easy of a person u are to break. Some people can handle trama extreemly well others break under the pressure quite easly. I guess its not a mater of how strong ur body is but how strong ur mind is. Pyonic and psycic abilitys dont make a strong mind they are simply abilitys u can use ur mind for. They can be powerfull like alma's but that just requires a even stronger mind. With mental powers of Alma's scale. Ud have to a have a mind as hard as stone. i dont have abilitys like this and i dout anyone dose atleast on that scale. i do beleve in mental abilitys as they have ben witnessed in sciance or it would not be around as a field of study. its just not vary well understood cuzz we dont fully understand the brain its self as it is. We know prity much all there is to know about the brain and how it works. but some stuff still illudes us or we would have a cure for ADHD bipolar etc. However psycic abilitys on Alma's scale would break most people mentaly. Powers like that id immagen dont give strength to a persons mind but rather put strain on it. after all its not like its somthing that dosent require energy. it probly requires tramindus amounts dipending on ur goal. a person with extreem mental fortitude like say Monk or elite solider who already had strong mind as a civilion. Likely could withstand such pressure but it would likely break them slowly over time. Unless u have some insane superhuman amount of fortitude like batman. But lits face batman isent human no mater what the comics say....He is super human even with gear like h has the graple gun its self would cuase brane damage to a normle human the way he uses it. And those he hangs up with it or uses it on like in the arkum games. They are probly dead via trama or brutaly injured.
Alma needs two things: a super long hug and an ally to hunt down and brutalize those who were behind Project Origin. Maybe the game wouldn’t have a “Could Have Avoided This!” Plot [ tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/CouldHaveAvoidedThisPlot ] if the Point Man could talk. All he’d have to is offer both. Maybe this would have prevented all the other deaths and occurrences. Then again, there’d be no plot. Unless we get official media with this train of thought, it will have to remain in the realm of fan fiction...
My comment had to be deleted by me because, dang how is evil brother gonna off their aunt like that when she didn't even know anything about it. Tragic this whole family except pointman at the end if you choose him winning
2025 The game begins with a call to the senator. A female voice reports problems with the Source: “Riot. Fettel has taken over control of the prototypes." Armacham Technology was a weapons developer with a military program: an army of clone troopers subordinate to a commander who controlled them using telepathy. Paxton Fettel uses his telepathic abilities to take control of a battalion of clone troopers. Fortunately, to stop an armed conflict, it is enough to eliminate the commander, after which the clones will cease to act and will be absolutely safe. And finding Fettel won’t be difficult: he has a sensor implanted in his head that gives away his location. He will not have any protection, one of the conditions of the program is the safety of the commander, he does not fight along with the rest of the soldiers, but only controls them at a considerable distance. The protagonist of the game is a new operative officer “F. E.A.R.”
