My family is Irish and when I did genealogy, I have many Bridgets in the family going back generations, as great grandmothers, great great grandmothers, great great great aunts, etc. I always thought if i had a daughter that's what I would name her, but iI'm unable to. But it's my goal to be a mom to all. She's the goddess of family, the home, the hearth, poetry, healers, and magicians. My mother used to read me poetry in the womb and I wrote it from a young age, I have just always loved it. i'm working on communicating honestly with my husband about what I need to feel like my home is actually my home. I haven't felt that way since I moved away from my family, it's really hard for me to achieve. We're working together on it which feels awesome. And I'm working on learning to better manage my addictions so that they also don't get in the way of my life in libraries and being there with and for the people I love. Definitely walking away from harmful relationships, including friendships is part of breaking the intergenerational thing I feel is going on in me, and so is managing addictions, showing up for and caring for myself first, then others, and post traumatic growth. I love working with kids so much and have in multiple jobs, and am very childlike, so if there are children on my team I am honoured.
