I also have too many shoes, some of which will never get used to the end of their life. Right now, my surprise hit is the Adizero SL2. As a lighter runner, it just feels like a really cushioned daily trainer.

The SL2 is going to be a popular shoe for a lot of people! Glad you're enjoying your pair.

Great rotation! I recently tried and sent back the NB4. I recently found that firmer shoes work best for me but I found them to be kind of dull, in comparison to the foam(s) in the Boston 12 that I’m now loving (had to lace swap). I also don’t really do much speed work, if any lol. Just like getting out there, losing some weight, clearing my head, and seeing how many miles I can rack up on a shoe 😅

I feel that, great to hear the Boston 12's are working for you! I like the ride on those but the upper's fit doesn't work as well with my foot for some reason. I definitely agree with you that the NB4's can feel a little dull at times but I prefer that over an unstable foam.

I think the most important thing to note with the Pegasus (and most shoe reviewers issue with the shoe) is that it is not going to do a ton for you, it is going to make you do the work. It doesn't have a huge rocker, the midsole isn't going to propel you forward, your calves, legs, and mechanics will have to do that. The Pegasus is meant to be a protective shoe that fits nicely, hugs and supports the foot, and has ENOUGH cushion, but the ultimate goal is for YOU to build fitness. I cruise at around a 9:30 easy run pace in the Pegasus, I can throw on my Hoka Mach 6 and my cruise speed will drop to around 9:00-9:15 with the same effort, again because of the rocker and propelling midsole, but I will develop foot pain and lower leg issues after a few runs in the "newer tech" max stack shoes, where as in the Peg, I stay healthy all the time. I like to train in the Pegasus, and race in a more modern type of shoe. To each their own.

You're definitely right! Sometimes we just need a boring daily that'll keep us injury free. I think the majority of people that criticize the pegasus line are valid in that the price to technology ratio may not be as good as other daily trainers on the market but Nike is most likely creating the pegasus to 1. go on sale at some point and 2. not be a shoe that's only meant for running because a typical consumer would do a lot of things in a pegasus (casual runs, weight lifting, walking around amusement parks, mowing lawns, etc. hahaha). Thanks for the insight!

@andrewfeher224 not particularly! Anything around 4:10-4:20 would be amazing for me.
