Why is the power cable in the socket but the rear cam wire not? Its sensles... also you can have just 2 video in.. so just one back cam not one inside and back cam
Hello Jim, Thank you for the review. This is the second review that really seems to be in favour of this dash cam. I'm having really bad luck with my new car, so need to get a dash cam (or the car will sadly have to go.) My biggest, and honestly, only requirement, is recording when I'm away from the car if/when some b*****d knocks my car. I don't want to rip my new car to pieces, hardwiring one of these things, therefore battery life is hugely important to me. Which leads to my question: Can you please let me know how good the battery life is on this model, with regards to it starting to record when it detects a knock (from another vehicle) when the engine is off and you are away from the car? More specifically, how long (in days?) would the battery last if you were away from the vehicle? Also, how accurate is the knock detection? Eg when someone parallel parks too close to you, and hits your car? I have a convertible, so can't have a separate camera on my rear "window," therefore do you think the rear view camera add on would good enough for protecting the rear of my car? Again, I'm referring to recording knocks when the engine is off and I am away from the car. Thanks again for your review, and I'd really, really appreciate your feedback re my queries. All the best!
Hi. Ues if someome knocks off your car it starts recording I suggest you get the internal camera too and put in a corner. Even if I open the door on my car it turns on and starts recording so it works fine every time
